2K Games bought Indie Games, and I'm quite sure a new Links is coming.

Yep, the only stuff Links can't use are the tournament names. The players aren't licensed, except Tiger Woods I guess.

It seems like they've got veryshort and verylong ranges down pat, but from a medium distance, things just look cruddy. I hope that EA is serious about the next-gen, because there's plenty of room for improvement here, and I mean that in a good way. For example, this build of the game (released by EA as a showpiece) has some blatant aliasing issues, so it can't be fully construed as referential to final product.

I have faith. I just hope they realize the real money is in popular _GOOD_ games, not just sure-fire tripe.

Then again, they are EA :/

Oh and, I really love how the water looks in the last pic. Really makes you feel you're at the coast, near the ocean. Hopefully the developers can make the seas look alot better in the next generation. The only game I thought had real cool water in this gen was that Transworld Surfing-game.

That's not the point, and that was the choice of the developer. Like i said, this is nothing my PC can't do easily.

See the thing is, it costs so much money right now to get high quality next-gen games, so for a 3rd party to make a simple gold game opposed to Quake 4, they really don't care about the graphics. They will make just as much through same old bad graphics. It all depends on the market. If they don't feek they'll make much difference in terms of profit by graphics then it doesnt make sense for them to push for the better graphics.
