GT Sport demo now available

GT Sport demo now available

The Gran Turismo Sport demo is now unlocked, which allowed us to quickly record a few videos. To begin, you'll get to see the second lap of our first race discovering the track, the replay and a third video showcasing some of the cars which will be available in the final game. More videos to come as soon as possible.

Had a couple of hours on it, Seems okay but the racing and the psysics seem so sterile compared to PCars 2. Also im amazed it suffers so badly from LOD changes/pop in. Its like Forza 5 in that regard although not as bad as PCars 2 disastrious LOD changes.

Seems that the 4 Pro version is cleaner and I haven't notice popping trees.

The demo requires you to be online if you/I/we want to play campaign or save progress in any mode- does anyone know, if that will be the case for the full game?
If so I wont buy it, i'm tired of this "allways online" bullshit!

(btw, the demo look absolute amazing in 4K HDR even on a mid-end Sony XD85 tv set!)

The demo said that offline only arcade mode is available if I remember correctly.

So I downloaded the demo (43GB), launched the demo, message told me server undergoing maintenance, you can play only Arcade Mode, so I clicked on Arcade Mode and nothing. Lovely demo.

I played the demo, and was bored after 5 minutes. The problem with GT has always been that I don't get feedback on how the car sticks to track. So I play it like I would drive on a real road with a real car. And because of the lack of feedback or sense of speed I seem to misjudge every corner. I don't have this problem with F7, F1 2017, Project Cars.

Its always been the reverse for me. Especially with a wheel, its the only one that feels...right. I don't know if it IS right, cant say i've driven a Bugatti tbh, but it certainly feels the tightest. I'm excited to try this in VR.

After a couple of hours online play tonight im impressed. Physics wise this is miles upon miles behind AC n PCars but online its just so much bloody fun. Im sure its down to the ease of the driving compared to other sims which makes for some exciting racing. Going to be a day 1 buy for me for when i just wanna race for fun without getting to serious.

Played a couple hours and while it certainly feels lagging behind Forza and P cars it’s at least a decent game. Physics and gameplay isn’t great but not bad. It still doesn’t do a good job conveying sense of speed though.

I don't play with a wheel. I use a controller. And where F7 gives tactile feedback through the controller, GT doesn't. F1 2017 gives subtle feedback and because of a better sense of speed, it's more 'realistic' in terms of approaching a corner.
With GT, I hardly have any sense of speed. So I'm pretty much guessing if I'm going fast or slow. It just feels weird to me.

I've got no idea how you could think GT games feel better on a wheel than say AC, PCars, Dirt Rally etc etc What wheel are you using? Playing GTS with a T300 is so sterile feedback wise compared to those games i mentioned.

Haven't noticed any pop. looks better then Forza 7, cars behave how they should, in forza 7 a straight line feels too loose. After all no matter what xboxfanboys say. It's an arcade racer. And it looks no better then forza 6.

PC2, looks worse and runs like crap on many systems, cars bounce around way too much.

When he starts off i didnt notice any pop you know its going to be a GT fanboy post as its impossible to miss.
