Looks better than God of War, Spider Man, Bloodborne and Horizon Zero Dawn on the xbone, though.

Disagree with Spider-man. Playing them concurrently and there are just as many things that are impressive in that game compared to RDR2.

nah, Spider-man is generic weaksauce all around, now Dad of War on the X is way superior. None touch Smah Bros Ultimate on the Switch.

My opinion is these other games just can't compete with the variety on offer with RDR2. Spider man doesn't even have dynamic weather or a true day/night cycle. The fact that RDR with its massive, massive world can go toe to toe with Naughty Dog games and God of War is an achievement.

We need to stop comparing these games. They're all great games and offer something for somebody.

Tells people to not compare the games after comparing those games. Genius.

Better the games look, the more people bitch about them. :-D Amusing. RDR looks amazing and I couldnt believe, how it runs on standard PS4.

You can set your console to 1080p and play it that way no more blurry image but capped at 1080p but you also get stable framerate. (I play it this way).

1080P mode on Pro probably most users are using. It will be super-sampled right ? I think 4K users are very low even on PC.

Definitely the case with me. Still gaming on the TV I bought a month before PS4 launched and will buy a nice feature full 4K TV right before PS5 comes out too. Didn't touch Red Dead 3 though, just not bothered lol. Might check it out over half a decade later like I did with the 2nd game in the series.

On the PS4 Pro in 4k HDR its a blurry mess. From what i've heard and according to DF the standard PS4 version in 1080p is clearer than 4k...... HOW THE F**K DOES THAT HAPPEN R*????? But im very disapointed in how the Pro version looks infact it gives me a sore head as im squinting alot of times because it's so god dam blurry.

I have just downloaded the 4K Xbox X vids off here to see how it compares on my LG OLED. On the 23" PC monitor it looks fantastic. Not blurry a single bit.

Horrifically shit AA solution and boarderline broken image reconstruction. They didn’t use checker boarding, they used their own, lesser method, and then made it worse with AA that blurs the tits off of everything in the scene, regardless of platform. It’s a blurry game. It’s probably only ever going to be truely crisp in its PC release...assuming it gets one. Lol

But it already is on Xbone, judging by videos with compression, even. On PS4P I just forced output to 1080p because there's little to no difference and fans are quieter.

I am playing on the X and it's absolutely sharp and crisp in 1080p. But I will buy a 4K TV next week - this is the game that finally tipped me over.

i guess DF where wrong then, because even they call out the excessive AA solution and how much it softens the image...on all platforms! on the x it's to a lesser extent than on the pro of course. but to say it has crisp IQ would be a bit of a stretch. it needs a better AA solution to achieve that, and i only see that being a possibility on the PC.

Same here. I have no interest in 4K but for next gen I guess fortunately/unfortunately it will be one of checkbox to tick for games. If I were a PC gamer I would also play at something like these gfx settings rather than 4K

1080 on the Pro and it's the same. It's not the AA that's made the game blurry in 4k. It's the rendering method, chiefly checkerboard on the Pro, which Rockstar has acknowledged and is fixing.
