Finally! I understand why comments were turned off, but I've been so excited and I couldn't share it! :D

Anyway, wow, bald Sam? Colour me extremely intrigued by this! Is the other guy a new lead character? A clever trick to make us believe that's Sam and then spin our heads around? Gah, I want more!

The trailer appears to be a mix of real-time and CGI. The close up of the face and the sweat droplet is WAY too good, but everything else looks in-game.

This is gonna be a good title! MGS u better watch out! Sam is out to get you!

I don't think that was Sam. At the begining it says "sneak peak at the online experience" so what we were looking at was a scenario of a Merc Vs Spy game. It also apears that the two spies were wearing different gear... what does this mean?? customisable characters?? I hope so.

Archaos, bald guy was definitely Sam. Nobody ever wears his trademark trinity goggles. That is him, for absolutely sure.

I say that to illustrate my level of excitement.

If its in game, this game is going to be amazing. Already diggin it more than MGS and this one will most likely have the better graphics of the two.

I think the game will be awesome. But I wasnt really feelin that trailer.

i can put money on the fact that the trailer was a piece together movie but using the in game graphics engine....you dont always have to use cgi to make a movie and add some flair. so think of it as a mix of real time with some cgi added effects like the sweat drop
Commented on 2005-10-05 12:10:47
well considering the camera cut to the sweat drop, it technically could have been in-engine, since that was the only thing on screen.

Which sort of leads me to the question:
Will the new Splinter Cell be using the newest Unreal Engine, as it has in the past?

I'd like to think of this as a trailer of a game that's going to kick ass. I simply KNOW a Splinter Cell game is gonna look awesome, so whether this is CG or not is pretty much unimportant to me.

i like the style, that cheap yet high tech thing that's happening, like the matrix when they are not in the matrix but on that ship thingi

Doom_Bringer @GriftGFX: I played the demo long time ago :P Any for me Dice > IW, the only great game IW made was Medal of Honor Allied Assualt and that's it. I don't care about them, never will! (23 minutes ago)
