Commented 99 nights video

Commented 99 nights video

What an excellent idea ! Microsoft Japan released this long gameplay video of Ninety Nine Nights, commented by Tetsuya Mizuguchi himself (in japanese) while he plays the game. We also get to see the pad so we understand how the game system works more easily. A really cool video, even for non japanese speakers.

The game won't have xbox live support at launch in Japan, it will be added later on AFAIK. The US/EU one will have online support directly. No details yet, but I would not be surprised if there was coop.

favorite part:"1000 kills", is this an asian wet dream? LOL they like killing with swords alot, but i guess they wonder why we like shooting people all the time. i was in awe at the focus in his eye as he repeatedly smashed the X button. omg check out the part at 7:30. he cant control his excitement as a thousand more potentials corpses appear on screen. hes cool tho :)

With Mizu behind it, this will surely be about more than just hack and slash gameplay. Expect some insanely addictive twist to the gameplay. I'm fairly sure the gauge and the red stuff you collect has something to do with it.

Mizuguchi is more or less an idol to me, he's created some of my most beloved games. Sega Rally, Space Channel 5 (part 2 especially is fantastic), Rez and Lumines.

Hack n Slash, Point n Shoot, Gas pedals n brakes, Punch n Kick...? Obviously if you don't like a genre, don't even bother looking or reading anything about it.

About the game

What's up?
  • Moonwalker
Moonwalker @Sdarts: Yup. Oh and I can't forget to mention how dark it is, and that story, real nice. The dynamic between Jackman and Stewart was superb too. (4 Hours ago)
  • Sdarts
Sdarts @Moonwalker: I'm glad you enjoyed it. And yes, Wolverine in the comics was always bloody, savage and ruthless. Something the previous movies never did, probably to stay PG-13 - suitable for teens. (5 Hours ago)
  • Sdarts
Sdarts @digi_matrix: Looking very forward to it. But no spoilers please. Now I know I will most likely cry at the end. (Which is never a bad thing.) (5 Hours ago)
  • Sdarts
Sdarts @droezelke: No problem, in games like Edith Finch what's most important is story, characters and world settings. It's like movies or a very short TV show/mini series, gameplay isn't as important. (5 Hours ago)
  • Moonwalker
Moonwalker Oh and I loved the violence, yep. I never liked how there was barely any blood in the previous films, impossible when you have someone like Wolverine cleaning house. This is how it's done. (5 Hours ago)
  • Moonwalker
Moonwalker And I'm so glad I watched the previous X-men movies first, specifically the two Wolverine movies, otherwise some things wouldn't have made sense (5 Hours ago)
  • Moonwalker
Moonwalker Logan was absolutely fantastic. In terms of acting, emotion, character development it's in a different league than the other X-men movies. Fucking loved it. And man, Jackman is a boss! (5 Hours ago)
