Page 1 2 >>How come when I open the video it doesnt play a video?
edit: I know, I downloaded after the update
Why guys? Why?!
The music composed for the game is as cool as ever. Well up to Rare standards.
Oh come on guys, its not like that breaking benjamin song on the halo 2 soundtrack actually appeared in the game, im sure its will just be the better parts of the intrumental.
Minus the vocals.
Remember when you go into a big round room and there are Brutes fighting Elites, it's close to the end of the game when you're the Master Chief running around the Covenant building.
The music is quite good, I agree the "Glitter Girl" track had me spooked, I don't like the singing much but the beat and music was O.K.
Thanks for the video Blim Blim.
COD2 has kinda a ragdoll physics engine.

COD2 has ragdoll physics, it's just that it's not so obvious like PDZ.
---
Wow! really!? you guys just made my day! i'm bungie jumping over mexico!
but the only problem is in the old videos i've seen of the game, there weren't any ragdolls, when you throw a gernade at the enemy, he dies the same way over and over again, a new video showing ragdolls would be nice (:
Well, COD2 is supposedly realistic, and a grenade doesn't send you flying like, um, a ragdoll. It does HAVE ragdoll physics, they're just not as dramatic or over the top as PDZ.
So, when you walk up stairs for example, you're really walking up stairs...either going up or down !! (if your on the stairs, and you take a step back, the characters leg will move down and back, to reach support from the lower step: amazing)
Thier new physics engine is allowing them to do a lot of things they couldn't do on the old Karma physics engine from UT2003/4.
uh, i'll take that as hakf-ragdolls then )":
In other words, even though the death animation is the same, impact physics could give it some direction?
I dunno. I've heard very little elaboration on the technique used in COD2.
Some say its all hand animated, some say there's a mixture of animations and physics, and here Simun is saying it's subtle ragdoll effects.
I just don't know.
BTW that song was also during the mission where you fly the banshee as the Arbiter but they scrap up the vocals horribly... don't beleive me? Go play the mission and find out yourself. It's early on when you are on the planet with the huge storm.
Not the appauling Breaking Benjamin song.
its simple animations
COD2 hasn't ragdoll .
its simple animations
slightly OT here, but I've read that Epic are going to implement physics on all basic animations in UT2007, such as walking/running, etc.

As for this video, it has to be the most pathetic thing I have downloaded in quite some time. Not only does the video suck but Rare released it as an interlaced video.... Give me a break. :/
True but you will have to have a $200-$300 PPU to enable it on the PC version and I am not sure if they will have a Xbox 360 version if they do its possible that one of the three cores could handle that. They probably have it on GOW though.
If the game sees that you have the PPU installed, it will offload much of the physics onto it, to give you a performance boost. It will do the exact same thing if you have a dual core machine.
That being said, the game will run fully feature with no PPU on a single core machine.
You'd just better hope that your CPU is fast/efficient enough to handle everything at full details.
