It's been known since a few days now, but now here is the absolute proof with these images. Yes you heard it right, there will be a female Spartan in Dead or Alive 4, the story behind this should be interesting, to say the least :)
And the level is fitting also. Considering, I thought, that this was the hardest damn part on the whole damn game on Legendary. Considering it took me about 30 times to get through it.(I have no patience) And, I also will pick this up now.
Don't you guys get it, having a spartan in DOA 4 means that Team Ninja is committed to Xbox360 development. So definitely we'll see Ninja Gaiden 3 on Xbox 360 after all. I could be wrong.

One rumor says that they will kinda split up in to two groups, one developing a new ninja gaiden and the other a new DOA beachvolleyboll (wich IMO is a game we'll do fine without).
It is kinda hard 2 think of someone in a spartan suit n a japanese fighting game. What KIND of fighting style will she use? u can't do ne japanese styles in a suit.
That just makes the Halo 2 one look even worse than it already does, there is no contest on which one is the better one, the DOA4 Spartan blows the other out of the water in terms of detail. You should really have your eye sight checked.
When I first heard that the halo character was a spartan I was like, "Huh... wha?" I was thinking perhaps it would be the Arbiter. But now I think the Spartan character is a very good idea! The pictures of her fighting with Ryu, cool... you dont see that everyday! Can't wait to see her fighting technique, hopes there is a headbutt somewhere! One more thing: Costumes. If we suppose her only outfits are variations of the Mjolnir(Mjølner?) armour, wouldnt it be cool if there was a camoflage version? I am really looking forward to Dead or Alive 4! Ninjas, Assasins and Spartans, it's got the lot!
I can sense much Halo fanboyism on this thread. Well, as a guy who worships the ground itagaki walks on, and even bought doaxbv(and loved it) i am here to counter this lol. GIve em a break. Honestly, it all comes down to whether you like normal mapping or modeling on, and i think team ninja did a great job. Look at the detail int eh armor itself, its more stylish, looks less blocky, and, is smoother. Smoothness being what team ninja do. And as for the level, i can soo see the amount of options! Imagine kicking Jan Lee through the plasma shields, or into that block you were sniping elites from in the level. It is Itagaki-sans gift to Halo fanboys, except they dont seem to be appreciating it! YOU DON'T DESERVE HIM! *dies*
Now, let me say first that I appreciate the Spartan model in DOA4. I think it will be fun to play and is just an all around good idea. I do think they did a good job with the model. Very nice.
However, I would have to agree with the minority here in saying that I think the Halo 2 version just looks better. That comparison pic posted by futromurzyna shows it clearly. It's just more visually appealing.
Now with that said, I don't think that makes the DOA version bad. DOA is a different game. Therefore, you would expect some difference in the character. I think the Spartan matches the DOA graphics style. Good job and thanks to Bungie and Team Ninja!
thank you ppazz13... way to state your opinion without flaming everyone around you! However with that said-- I don't really agree with you-- in my opinion the model in DOA4 just looks stunning... it's sooooo crisp and detailed. I think it's flat where it needs to be (i.e. chest plates-- although you'd think a female spartan's suit would vary in that erm... particular region, especially in an Itagaki game!) yet smooth in other areas (i.e. shin and thigh plating). So ultimately I'm with Bloodforge on this one, sorry futromurzyna! But really though-- it's all a matter of opinion. Both are great models in my opinion but the DOA4 model is simply beautiful.
