I love how MS is handling the launch. The initial line-up is the best i can remember. Obviously, devs will have to cut some corners, but the games are by no means unimpressive. MS also has prepared a killer second wave that will kill anything that PS3 has to offer (if it comes out in the spring). SO PD0 and PGR3 and Kameo can hold me over until Gears of War. great schedule!

I think everyone'll agree that cutscenes actually puts the game in way better light than the gameplay footage did. There's no doubt in people's minds now that the 360 could pull off the MGS4 demonstration, because the only thing that separates those two is art direction.

It makes me sort of curious as to why cinematic trailers haven't surfaced for stuff like Perfect Dark Zero yet. I mean I realise that MS are emphasising "let people play the games and see how great they are", but that doesn't help the ongoing WAR on forums like this over whether the games ARE great because you can't tell from the gameplay footage. Cutscenes act like that short montage of angles before a race in gotham 3, which is the only time you'll acrually see how insanely detailed the cars are, otherwise you wouldn't know! Sure, the images released have that effect but that's because they too are from dramatic angles.

I have faith that this game will be good, that's not what I'm saying, but I do believe people went "ooOOOoh!" because of the short scene at the start there with the guys sitting down, talking.

I suppose this is where poeple will come running going OMGPDZSOPLASTICNOTNEXTGEN!!!1!! but hey, I'm just making a point. :)
