NBA 2K6 trailer

NBA 2K6 trailer

2K Games released this short trailer of the Xbox 360-version of NBA 2K6. Looks great, and I myself cry every night when I think of how NHL 2K6 looks compared to this. But seriously - what's up with the sweat already? It seems to be more and more for every new trailer!

" I myself cry every night when I think of how NHL 2K6 looks compared to this"

I dunno

there are things about NHL 2k6 that look phenomenal..... the ice for example

I just wanna see the character models in motion.... the trailer didn't really do a good job of that cuz there were no close ups

but NBA 2k6 looks amazing. I'll prolly buy it just for hte graphics

Tupacolyte:
Yeah absolutely, I was very pleased and surprised when I saw it. But still, it's not even close to NBA 2K6. Maybe the shirts are similar detailed, but the faces in NHL looks crappy, and they really need some antialiasing in it generally.

the NBA 2k6 screens are a jaggy mess too

I'm convinced that 2k Games doesn't know how to take a good screenshot

WOW. this is amazing. it looks even better than it already did. they fixed all the palyer faces from the last trailer, like D wade was really off, but he looks correct now. Even in live, which he is on the cover of, the face doesn't really look like him.

the gameplay looks smooth too, this is my most wanted game by far right now.

absolutely incredible. the best graphics at launch, no doubt. and iirc, its supposed to be 60fps?

I'll "doubt" that........

I still think PGR3 is the most impressive game I've seen

Looks awesome and more realistic than Live :D

MANAGER:

The guy at the 7 second is actually using a plastic mask, he actually uses that. I don't remember why exactly.

Rip Hamilton wears a mask because he has had his nose broken numerous times.

Without any doubt, it's a plastic mask.

pgr3 is definitely my most anticipated. graphically its astounding as well. honestly though, i have a hard time comparing racing game graphics to bball graphics, so how about we call it a draw ;)

I'll say these are the most impressive looking humans i've seen in a game so far. The faces are still a little of, but when you're just wathcing them go up and dow nthe court, it's near impossible to tell its not a broadcast.

This will kill NBA Live 06 hands down. And then I wonder what NFL 2k6 could've looked like...

That is Rip Hamilton on Detroit... he broke his face a few years ago... now he wears it for his "look"
Commented on 2005-10-29 02:39:26
man nfl 2k6 would have looked way realer(I don't think thats a word) than madden and ea Knew it

All Behold NBA 2K6 the future of basketball video games............Live will die out fast if they dont purk up the graphics....but then again live is for the kids to play, and this is a grown man game. I cant wait till nov. 21 LOL

Haha, and if you look at the background, the cheerleader models look very nice! I'm sure they will fix Bibby's face, as he is the only weird looking one that I saw. Now I REALLY see that most of that X05 footage of NBA 2k6 was just placeholder footage, and that is why they forced you guys to take it down. Not at ALL representative of what we are seeing now. THIS video looks amazing!

2k6 is delayed to 2006

visco - please read any preview about the game before commenting, depth of fiild blurring is part of the games graphics. you may only see it like that from that angle in a reply, but its very much ingame. and anything about pgr3 and 2k6 being moved to 2k6 is rumor, none of which have ever had a name attached to them.

What's up?
  • PlumbDrumb
PlumbDrumb um Simon? In English that means "Just get it across". see I made a funny, but also a point. (1 minute ago)
  • PlumbDrumb
PlumbDrumb hahaha, jest gut it across. (46 minutes ago)
  • SimonM7
SimonM7 Yeah, "well" is a nice go-to way to start a sentence. If used sparingly I like things that evoke a sense of spoken language, though. (51 minutes ago)
  • PlumbDrumb
PlumbDrumb oh my it's the English Language! run away! (1 Hour ago)
  • PlumbDrumb
PlumbDrumb I also do "well" and "like", like "well, don't forgo it completely", or something like that. Oh yeah, I also do "or something" and "Oh, yeah". bah.... and that one too! (1 Hour ago)
  • SimonM7
SimonM7 It's such an easy trap to keep falling in, especially in longer texts where you keep kinda back and forth arguing within your own reasoning. That's like every post/thing I've ever written! :) (1 Hour ago)
  • PlumbDrumb
PlumbDrumb you can have some of mine. Though I use them often. (1 Hour ago)
