Test Drive Unlimited images

Atari released the following three images from their upcoming Xbox 360 game, Test Drive Unlimited. The concept - MMOR(acing), sounds fantastic - let's just hope it works, too.

Yes, it looks brilliant, but it's the shitload on innovations that's got my eye out on this title. The racing bit however... someone knows how this drives?

Surprisingly looks amazing. Very good lighting and car models to rival PGR3. Still getting PGR3 at launch but this looks like a must have for live.

Wow that look's very impressive. Second best looking racing game, only PGR3 looks beter i think. But the thing i'm still a bit concerned about: it's a Test Drive game. And those gams usually aren't very good... Really hope this one is going to be great to play, if it is then i'm going to buy it. :P

This looks damn nice...the car models look great and the environment mapping is lush. The first picture is funny though, check out the truck in the background to the right of the Lotus. (it's floating lol)

I always thought this game could use flying cars.

It is now the perfect game.

Man this shit kicks PGR3's ass as far as graphics are concerned. I'm worried about the gameplay though, as we haven't had a good Test Drive game in nearly 6 years now, maybe more. I think it was Test Drive 5 that was the last good one.

Test Drive on the Amiga was quality...I hope it's as good as the Amiga version :D
This game needs to be tested though before I part with my cash!

Don't really think this kicks PGR3's arse ;) This just doesn't look realistic, I think the devs didn't intend it also.

Looks good though.

There's a game released soon that has a similar concept. Similar as in having a moderately large piece of land where you're free to drive wherever you want. World Racing 2 called it is. Judging by the demo (which appeared to be quite broken in a few ways, at least AI wise. missed opportunity with the cops there, hope it has been fixed) it won't be a particulary great game( just good). But you can have a glimpse of what the "freedriving" might be like in Test Drive. Despite the demo not offering much else it's surprisingly entertaining to just drive around.

Another great thing about this game is that skidmarks stay....FOREVER! I did most everything I could, but they didn't want to disappear.
