Painkiller: Hell Wars videos

Dreamcatcher sent these three videos from Painkiller: Hell Wars, presenting two different levels of the game plus one boss fight. The three files are reencoded into one. Expect some crazy action from this one.

OMGITSTEHBETTERTHANPDZLOLOMGBRB! No? Wow, strange. :)

This sure took its time and I was sort of hoping for co-op and some more cutscenes to elaborate the pretty cool premise further. This was a pretty neat game back when it came out.

I remember playing a demo on the pc a while back, and the boss battles make you grin like its christmas eve (then it hits you, that you have to kill the thing). Good stuff.

Does anyone else think the last 3 shots look like something out of Quake 1? Not saying it looks outdated, just the colours and designs and crazy blood/gibbing

It does, yeah, and the game really has that Quake 1 feel to it. It's actually a really cool game despite looking pretty arse in these videos.. Well except for the last bit with one of the game's huge bosses. It's in the same vein as Serious Sam but with a dark tone and some pretty wild weapons. Wish it was co-op. :|

Yeah, the only reason why I held off on the PC version was the lack of co-op. Oh well, let's hope they make a sequel and answer our prayers.

PC version was a little better.

I really miss the 'shoot a giant pencil right trough an enemy's stomach'-launcher. I just loved that gun.

Edit: I see it's still in, however it doesn't have the same effect. Furthermore, the game looks to be very good stuff. I don't mind the setting being a bit Quake 1-ish, I just loved that game. Does this have Xbox Live-support?

  • SimonM7
SimonM7 The bad thing for the DC was Sega making games that were full of giddy enthusiasm instead of having awesome hollywood stuff happen. Today devs "know better". (4 Hours ago)
