The first two are definitely a bit weird but I like them. at least they're original.

The third one looks familiar and I think something like that has been done numerous times before.
It has a very Playstation feel to it. Just image that all the 'ring if light's are replaced by the Playstations X, square, triangle, circle.

Off topic, with this sortage of xbox360 around launch, why are people who won there consoles getting them all first? Wouldnt it be better if people who paided for them to get them first! why should i have to que for hours to try get one on launch and the winners sit at home dont pay nuthin and get it before me! i think thats unfair :(

Thats it...I think that's a pretty poor software launch line up. No PRG3 or N3 both not until 2006.

I just think that the Japanese software line up could have had a few more titles with the launch being 3 weeks later than the US launch. Not many Japanese are too impressed with the launch titles. Maybe I do expect too much from M$ but thats because M$ keeps going on about there great line up and how much the titles are gonna want people to but there new console. Seeing this line up of software for the Japanese launch I don't think it's gonna be too different from the original xbox as regards to sales. Sony/Nintendo have a massive grip of the Japanese audience, so I'm saying that I thought M$ would have hit the Japanese market with the strongest games lineup as possible, which I don't think they have.

what launch games did the ps2,ps1,dreamcast,snes,n64(maybe mario) have that impressed them?

I agree that MS could have benefited by having games such as N3 and Chromehounds at launch, but I think they're doing the best they can right now. Japan is doing pretty darn well compared with the release items for the US as example. We supported Xbox the most through all this and we're getting shafted in games lineup, pricing, etc.

I'll gladly wait till next year for the games the Japanese are getting.

None of them have ever been planned for launch except everyparty (day one) and Ziria (delayed) AFAIK.

Take a look at the history of launches in Japan. They have ALL sucked. This is seriously probably the best in a long, long time. Most system launches over there go without a single stellar title, however titles like RR6, DOA4 and NFS: MW will most likely attract the Japanese audience.

The third ad is really classy though, I like it. The other ones I've seen before, but they are still as silly.

Need for speed will not attract the Japanese audience, western games aren't huge in Japan, neither is FIFA or perfect dark. RR6, DoA4 and (eM)-eHCHANT arM - RPG will be the high-light of the launch. I've asked around in stores in Japan and there isn't much interest at all for the 360, Sony and Nintendo have a massive grip on the Japanese audience and I can't see M$ breaking it the market so soon, the Japanese people are more looking forward to PS2, DS and PSP titles than anything on the 360. This is a conern of mine, I hope M$ can do something about it in the near future.

Only 3 of the launch titles are Japanese which isn't a good start. Anyway we'll see at launch how well the x360 goes down in Japan. I hope the 360 it does well in Japan because I live and work here...

I'm talking about the Japanese launch...these aren't big titles in Japan and wouldn't make Japanese gamers go out and by and 360.

I agree DJmizuta, If Microsoft really wanted to "get a grip" on the japanesemarket on the launch of the console they would have concentrated more on what the market wants and likes on the gamemarket and since RPG games is one of the biggest on the gamemarket overthere, they sure would have concentrated more on releasing such titles on launch to get a bigger "hype" for the console.

So with that said, I think the console will fade away on the market in Japan, unless they come up with some good RPG's in the near future and as you said, Sony and Nintendo has a bigger grip on the gamermarket in Japan.

Sure is nice with some Xbox360 lounges, ads and website exclusively in Japan, but I'm not sure that's enough to become number 1 in gaming in such country as Japan.

So C'mon Microsoft, with your unlimited funds, You could have coughed up som really neat RPG's on launchday?

Those 3 games are pretty good actually. It's a nice mix of RPG/racing/fighting. You may not get PGR 3, but at least you have enchant arm. I really hope that game gets release over here. From all the trailers i've seen, it really looks amazing.

Most people only buy like 1-2 games on system launch. I wouldn't call it such a bad launch considering you can pick from those top 3 games for launch, and more titles coming in the future like N3, PGR 3, FXI, and those others RPG titles getting developped by Mistwalker.

Personnaly, I'm only getting doa 4, Kameo and maybe PGR 3 this launch. Don't want to have too many game because i know i won't have time to play them all.
