They will probably just port at the beginning, the bigger publishers. King Kong, Splinter Cell, Ghost Recon...

I know i wont be buying any ports King kong/ Gun/ Tony hawks (it may as well be a port). If you know your not going to buy it why complain about the price? Just laugh at them for rediculously pricing a current gen game for a next gen system.

Looks stunning, but then the XBox version does aswell. I'll wait to see what differences there are before complaining too much though!
Some people don't have a PS2 or XBox though, so this would be the only version available to them.

The best way to do that is to port their current gen games. This is not taking away from next gen game making--they are just taking a current product, spending a couple extra months adding some features, and then shipping the same product they already spent 20-24months already making.
If anything it is GOOD they are porting games. 1.) More selection meaning the 360 platform appeals to more gamers 2.) The best of current gen on the 360 with upgraded graphics 3.) The companies make more money and 4.) many games will end up in the bargin barrel quicker.
The downside is that the 360 gets an "upgraded last gen" level hardware stigma but that is the cost of being an entire year ahead of the next gen market (and having a 4 year Xbox lifespan) and the result of not having tighter quality control. Of course if you are too picky you turn developers off. More support, both in good and bad games, is better than too few games.
Ultimately it is how the games play. With very few "Next Gen" play mechanics available at all, the best we can hope for is that the AAA current gen games (or even just the good games) get ported while we wait for the REAL next gen games.
Personally I would prefer a ported current gen game over a really lame attempt at a next gen game with no replay or features. Of course to sell me on the console I want to see a library of real next gen games (the very reason I don't have a 360), but once I have one I would rather have a really robust game with updated graphics that is all shine and no substance.
Its not like they are calling a current gen project with upgraded graphics a "Totally new next gen game from the ground up" like some other company. At least they are saying, "This is an upgrade" instead of BSing like another company...
A lot of jaggies there.
Well, it's Ubi Soft after all. We should be glad EA gave us Fifa 06 exclusively, even though it was more limited than the Xbox-version.

if its anything like crimson skies then it will be a winner, and I's rather play it in hi-def with some nice effects, wouldnt you?
Is this sim or arcade? I've been dying for another game like Crimson Skies for a while.
