HAHA, I'm almost sure we will see more of RSC. Come on, it's EA, the king of milking, they'll start milking RSC I'm almost sure, they are not that DUMB. I don't think the games will be as awesome as the past ones as they will most likely be Multiplatform, who knows, I hope I'm wrong.

Oh crap, nevermind man, you maybe right. RSC1 and 2 were published by MS. They own the name, so no more RSC then, that freaking sucks. Is there a way DICE could work on the game even as part of EA??? It'll be hard for MS to find a developer that can do the things DICE did, they were incredible at graphics for example........
I hope we aren't limited to the behind the car view. It really should play like the old NES Off Road game. The trailer I saw had some excellent camera views and I hope we'll be able to play the game that way. Otherwise, it will just be the same as any other driving simulation. Sigh.....
Um, listen, DICE aren't the only people IN THE WORLD that can make an RSC game. Microsoft own the name, it's a big seller, they'll put someone else on it. Sure, that might make you freak out and everything, but look at Panzer Dragoon Orta. The original three games were developed by Team Andromeda and Orta was handled by Smilebit, nevertheless it turned out to be a completely awesome game.
It's certainly not uncommon for franchises to pass on from one developer to another, and as much as people like to think that nobody but the original developer can do the game justice that's just not true. (Depends somewhat on the complexity and overall nature of the game of course)

DICE did a REALLY good job with the rallisport games though, it would be very difficult for microsoft to find another developer of that caliber. Rallisport 2 was one of the best looking xbox games and it played great.
exactly. RSC is a top rally game and it'll be tough for MS to find a team that would carry on the same formula that makes RSC unique.
anyway, those shots of RSC2 in 1280x720 look nice! i wonder when it'll be on backwards compatibility list..
Standing on other people's shoulders has never been hard. You'll have your RSC3 eventually, but chances are it'll play largely the same as 2. It takes a bad company to cock up something that's already great. Well, either a bad company or the same company. Burnout 2 -> Burnout 3, wtf like. :)
I completely agree with you on the quality of RSC2, I think it's one of the best Xbox games period. It was actually the first racer that made me doubt the all time king-ness of Sega Rally 1.
yeah you're right, but i'm really hoping RSC3 if ever made won't end up too different.
and about backwards compatibility, what's the deal with progress?? really seems like some games aren't being made officially supported for some reasons.
