And by the way... if the "DOAX inspiration" you're talking about are the gravure scenes on the beach, with games and so on... Those existed in japanese games for more than a decade before DOAX. They just were never released in the US.

I know I know, but still these are female characters that usually fight, and that now are bouncing on the beach :)

This game looks great, and seems pretty customizable, I may pick it up after all >D

wow...the animations in this game look like SHIAT. It pisses me off that the gfx in this game are so good compared to DOA4 and the game is so crappy.

The game looks pretty good but let's not say silly things. DOA4 models are made up of Roughly 80,000 polygons, this games uses 50,000 polys per char. DOA4 has FAR FAR FAR better animation, DOA4 has better textures too. Everything in DOA4 is ultra smooth and ultra fast with pretty much the best animations ever seen in a game to date. Also with huge multiteared amazingly detailed stages with effects such as reflections on water etc... Not to mention DOA4 has better AA, maybe this game only uses x2FSAA?

In no way does this game look better than DOA4, it does however look slightly more realistic, but again that is due to the art style.

Anyway the game has pretty good models with some nice textures and lighting, but they seriously need to improve the animations.

It looks quite a bit better than DOA4 in my opinion. DOA4 looks like DOA on Xbox1 (sans the bump in resolution). This game doesn't look like it could have been done on XBox1.

Pure class.

First one was horrible, I have not doubt this one will be just as bad.

This game uses self-shadows, like BlimBlim said,(maybe even soft-shadows too?) and it makes the gfx VERY nice looking, DOA4 doesnt use real-time shadows anywhere at all. I didnt say this game was better than DOA4 either, I just said the gfx looked better (to me they do, and to most others) Which is why its a shame that this waste of a game has such nice visuals, they could have done much better with DOA4 gfx. (Im not talking about the art style either, just improvements to the gfx engine itself)

It’s sad to see Konami bet on sexuality to sell this game. Obviously they thought that, it doesn’t matter if the game is crap, if it has nice graphics with enough (ahem) “features”, it will sell.
It’s so pathetic… Konami can do better than that.

'Cause of rumble roses scantely clad image its going to get alot of people who like it, and alot of people who wont. who will not see an utterpoint in playing the game... its the nature of the product.

The only reason the DOA series does'nt get flak for having the same is because its estalblished itself as a topclass fighting game.

But elliot_doa4, whats the difference between RR and DOA? nothing... Both have a solid game behind the sex sells image. Lets face it, if sex did'nt see you would'nt see a game like RR or DOA.. or even some toothpaste commericals.

My point :) Dont run it down if you aint gonna at least try it.

So rent it when it comes out :D
