Sometimes I wonder if certain developers are purposely trying to make it look like the 360 can't do any better then when the ps3 is out they actually start doing something.... Its only now that I'm starting to understand what itagaki really meant when he said he wonders if certain japanese developers have any pride at all because he's seen some of the games they are making for the 360 and its as if they are purposely putting out rubbish because the console is capable of much more and the general concensus is that its easy to develop for the 360.
Itigaki didn't tap into the system's power either.
This game reminds me of a Working Designs game. Hopefully this game will be released here.

Conspiracy Theory.
The game actually shows promis to me. Maybe not here in the west, but over in the eastern shores i see it doing well.
Blimblim do you know when do those GRAW movies are coming because im thinking of buying this game
Still does anyone here plan on buying final fantasy XI for the 360? I've yet to see any significant improvements over the version's already available to the pc or ps2. (of course graphics will probably be better, but I doubt it'll be anything that will make a ps2 owner of the game say WOW i wish i had the 360 version). Then again they are working on a newer mmorpg which will more take advantage of the 360's power (It will no doubt be on the ps3 as well I assume)
I mean sure its nice that square is finally releasing a game on a microsoft console, but an old game that probably already lost most of its attractiveness. Then again I could be wrong is there a strong final fantasy XI community out there that really wants to get the 360 version?
"Tapping into the system's power" is EXPENSIVE. Simply MAKING a xbox360 game is already more expensive than making a PS2, Xbox, GC game. If you consider that the installed userbase is also SMALLER right now, how would one justify spending big bucks on the production of a game? Not every company is an EA, you know. This is specially silly when it comes to japanese companies like those.
A lot of popular games on PS2 don't "tap into that system's power" either. Hell, some ultra-popular GC and PS2 games could be done on the DC with ease. Graphics mean nothing, specially on Japan, where people actually prefer the Katamari Damacys over the Halos (and with good reason). THAT IS WHY THE PS2 IS MORE POPULAR THAN THE XBOX WORLDWIDE.
Because of THE GAMES, NOT THE GRAPHICS.
And to the guy saying the DOA characters don't look like dolls and the RRXX characters do... I guess dolls in your country have more realistic bodies and individual features, while human beings look like Barbie-dolls, right? Because DOA4 has basically ONE barbie body and ONE barbie face for every female character, while RRXX has a handful... and you can even change the muscle tone, girth and so on... Let's not even adress self-shadowing and every other detail... It's specially funny because those guys are certainly not using even a fraction of the money that Itagaki wasted in DOA4...

As for RR:XX it looks great so I don't know how anyone could complain about the graphics, though it's no DOA4 in the looks department it looks pretty good.
So help me God. Some really uninformed comments here.

You can have quality looking games without a huge budget so that is not an excuse. When a game looks like a poor PS2 port thats just lazy and possibly a sign of a lack of talent. On that note Spectral Force looks really good, I cant get a beed on Ronde either ths scans are to small or their is just to much going on to tell what the game really looks like. Zoids looks like crap and I have never liked Rumble Roses.
Doa is on a whole other level than rumble roses is in my opinion there is no comparison. Yes self shadowing etc is a nice effect being used in rumble roses, but.... who will care if the game isn't good.
Let me be more precise even if by some chance this game is somehow amazing as a female wrestling game I just don't see it doing too well unless of course alot of people are literally foaming at the mouth to get this game (which I doubt, but apologize if I'm wrong)
Itagaki has stated constantly that he isn't going to add freckles or any other details to his doa girls or other characters simply to show off technology... he feels his characters are complete and will leave them like that. Nonetheless regardless of how much money was spent on either games doa 4 has rumble roses outclassed in my opinion. Basically they are doing the sorta things to their characters that itagaki didn't want to do to his.
Anyway xbox live dashboard update just downloaded it.
Cod 2 update tomorrow.
