Why dose it NOT look like the pics they were showing us a few months ago? It looks like the damn Xbox version.
I'm really looking forward to this game, although I have the "old" Version since September '05, especially to the new online features. Imo the Burnout series is just fun, and not like going go work, like most of the racing simulations.
I pray nobody is judging from the screenshots... if some people are then i question people's intelligence.
Also people have been so graphically spoiled its ridiculous people are actually idiotic enough to think the ps2 or xbox versions of this game can look anything close to as good as what the 360 version looks like?
Maybe just maybe if a single person here was able to race with a camera angle such as this http://www.gamespot.com/pages/image_viewer/frame.p...
or this http://www.gamespot.com/pages/image_viewer/frame.p...
I can't believe people judge a game because it doesn't have these fancy camera angles people will try to deny, but its the reason people are mad who in their right mind could look at both those screens and think they'd be seeing such things all the time when you'll primarily be seeing the back of your car unless you are in replay mode.
This game will be fun as hell and that's all there is to it. Full Auto has no features and is even more basic than this. So if you don't like this one, I guarantee you won't like Full Auto.
AAAAARGH! Going to this site nowadays and reading comments drives me INSAAAANE!
(although, you were a bit insane to start with)
Looks like current gen crap, hopefully Full Auto will be a better game it already is visually.
The problem here, and I don't expect anyone to grasp this right off, is that THIS IS A PORT OF THE XBOX/PS2 GAME with extra visual frills turned on. We won't see "next-gen" until "this-gen" is dead. Ports aren't next-gen... which is why this game doesn't look as spiffy as a game that was built from the ground up on an engine designed to take advantage of the new hardware. RENDERWARE IS OLD and I can't wait until Criterion update it to use the 360's hardware more efficiently.
LMAO! there are some weird people on this board. For me the current gen Burnout was already kind of a Next Gen Game...
There is no reason for a simple Port like this.
But asside from THAT reason, I'm more interested in the Live capabilities than a graphical update. For those people who patiently waited for an HD version, then this is their reward. This game isn't meant to grab another $50 out of your pocket, it's supposed to offer a more complete experience than what the Xbox version offered... mainly in the form of Live. Besides, if EA is keeping their fingers out of the Live connectivity, that alone is worth $60.
Its not. I mean, Sorry. It looked really Good, like Ninja Gaiden and DOA are still really good looking games. But i excpect a lot more from a next-gen Burnout.
There is no reason for a simple Port like this.
and if you guys are not happy with the game (that none of you have seen for real or even played it) I would like to know what you are saying about NFS most wanted... besides all flaws still a very good game.
