well a pc that could render the 360 graphics would indeed cost you a bomb of money,my pc cost 4000 euro and it cant even perform the operations the 360 can

It's just funny to see how many graphics whores there are out there. Before this vid, everyone was saying how this game sucked, had average graphics, how its a crappy port of an Xbox 1 game, and how they would never spend a dime on this. Then after watching this video, everyone's just drooling over this game and saying that it's on their must-bye list.

All because of the pretty little water effects.

Bit of a flawed comparison as others have pointed out, but I always thought this looked pretty decent..not mind blowing or anything, but certainly a big leap over instincts.

I never did get to play the original Xbox game, but I heard pretty much good things all around about the MP--here's hoping this expands on that a little and is just as popular on live.

I think it should applause all round for the 360.

i actually would of prefered an comparision with instincts....

the water in instincts looked great but the collision dection with falling bodies and your own body was bad...also 1 effect i have already mentioned was the blood in the water...ha i always loved that 1

yeah and they realased at least 2 ( i can be wrong) patches add SM 3.0 support so it's not fair saying 2 years old game

theres nothing wrong with loving great graphics,i too love the substance of a game but until ive got the control in my hand ill have to settle for the graphics to boost my interest

Well Far Cry Instincts was already a great game on the XBox, now they upgraded the superficial elements aswell! Think of an intelligent pretty girl with a broken nose getting it fixed? :P

Far Cry on Xbox was crap in my book. Well, it wasn't crap, but the gameplay was just like any other straightforward, mediocre shooter out there. Linear level paths, stupid AI, nil difficulty. As a game, it just butchered the original PC version. The multiplayer was alright though.

Why is appreciating the aesthetics of a video game superficial? Some people are just more visually inclined than others, making graphics (in addition to gameplay) a big part of immersing oneself into the game. The better the graphics, the better the immersion for some people. Don't think that just because you don't care about graphics that you are somehow more enlightened than everyone else.

I wasn't impressed graphically by this game before.. but those water effects are pretty awesome - virging on full realism. Still, its a Farcry game... it'll be fun.

Well that could be argued, better graphics = better game, considering graphics play a big part of a game.

Sitting and watching a blank screen isn't very fun is it.
