PC Xbox 360 PS3 PS2 Xbox

The following images were put up from Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six: Vegas, to be announced later today. The game is rumored to be under development for Xbox, PS2 and Xbox 360, and more details will probably be released tonight. Looks great except for some smaller details (as the doors), but the game will probably not be released for some time.
Update: According to a press release we just received, the game will be released on current and next gen systems, and on PC.
Update #2: Release date is Autumn 2006. More info in comments 19:36.

I wish it was optional 3rd person. It lets me enjoy the gfx + gameplay better when I can see the character. Prolly wont be tho, since the first 2 pictures are 1st person view.

Please let those be in game cause those look RADICAL!!
Plus it also reminds me of Killing time.
Sure you aren't thinking of "Killing Day"? Just so you know, the Killing Day vid was CGI. The developer admited it.

Even if it was cgi (killing day) I still think those graphics are possible ingame.

Also the guy that said expect to see jaggie pictures etc thats always a given when we are dealing with a game that is currently in development, but its been confirmed that these are legitimate ingame shots and that nothing has been done to alter them.

4Xaa is being used because 4XAA is truly all thats needed (it can really look that good) in most games the higher AA level honestly isn't needed for the game to look impressive just a waste of resources I say.

Something close to Killing Day is possible but on a technical level it would have to be downgraded a tad. There are alot of subtulties in that KD vid that are not possible even on X360 and PS3 hardware and some of the ones that are possible would take too much time to achieve at the quality shown in the video. Animations such as the statue breaking up and the glass shattering could be done but would take alot of time to achieve and probably not be worth it for the developer.

"Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six Vegas will be the benchmark against which all next-generation games will be measured."

VERY big words that sounds like something sony would say so you know these guys are practically saying BRING IT ON! from the competition ;)

I am a HUGE R6 fan, Raven Shield being the best in the series ofcourse. I've seen images for all the Tom Clancy games, before they come out... I guarantee you that this is not ingame. The very first video of GRAW at E3 last year looks better than what we have now, plus other things are different in the mechanics, one thing that I noticed, you don't have a first person weapon in the final game, but you do in the video??? SP:CT and the new SP game, you look at those and the SP:CT images from way before release, they try to make the game look in game, just like those images up there, but they are not. Ubisoft is just as bad as EA. They'll give you shots that could be ingame but wont, kind of like what we kept on seeing with Most Wanted. One thing is for sure though, the game is gonna look real good. I just hope they don't dumb done the lvl design cause it's coming out for consoles. Playing the xbox version of RS3 really pissed me off, they changed all the lvls and made them all linear. On the PC version you could choose your path. Lockdown for PC never had a chance to be like old R6 cause it came out on consoles first.

No it didnt. Go watch the vid again. It looked smooth and shiny like some CGI does but there was way less detail and it was grainy.

You have too high of expectations for a $300 game machine. These should be possible from the 360 but they shouldnt be expected as if this is the norm for a machine of 360's calibur. The numbers are high but just like the PS3 its cpu is no better than a good Pentium4 and there are already better video cards for PC. Its a beast, especialy for the pice but it still is a console and console will always be less powerful than PC's because thats the only way to keep them affordable.

Are you kidding me? GRAW now has full HDR lighting wich looks WAY more realistic than the E3 demo and requires more out of the hardware. You go watch it again. The final game looks miles better than the E3 vid. Get your eyes checked and watch them side by side. There is so much more detail in the final game its sickening that you could even be so nieve and ignorant.

well I can tell this is an early build. Because they have clearly put alot of effort into the characters, made them quite high poly. But they have made the environments low poly. Picture 2 hightlights this. Obviosly on release I expect that the environments will match the characters. Overall though its looking pretty good.

Nice Ezekiel, i like you already. [Because of bleach]

A guy on the PS3 said "these are no impressive, BLACK looks better imo". He only said that because it was mentioned that they were Xbox 360 screens.

What would be the point in saying "look it up" if I was willing to hunt down that little snippet myself. I read it almost a year ago, right after E3 and I dont plan on searching the internet for it again just to prove to you I am telling the truth.

those x360 images are soooo good....it will be interesting to see if the differences between the two versions are noticeable, or just a little different like this current generation for multi platform titles.....i wonder whether developers when they are developing multi-platform titles will use the x360 or the ps3 as their base console

I think they use the PS2 as the base conolse now dont they?

They will probably use the 360 as they'll have a years practice and they probably wont bother to change.
