Playing GRAW and FN3 at the mo, so will probably trade one of these soon for oblivion.

You freely control your character in and out of battle. Not like FF when you wait for your attack-turn.
But it's closer to fable than Final Fantasy, because you don't have turned based battles in Oblivion and Fable, but realtime battles.
Oh, wait... has this been mentioned before?;)
Seriously, this game is fun, I've played it for about 12 hours now, and still have only done ONE little quest.
There's just too much to do, and it's just so darn funny:D
Final Exams can't come soon enough so i can get my 360!

A rental might be indeed a good idea. I would have bought if it wasnt for how much money I have spent already, I wish my pockets were deeper :(
If you rent it, you'll buy it. If you buy it, you'll love it. This is the first true masterpiece of the generation.
Im level 15, here is 2 pics of my NORDIC Knight, who has now joined 2 knightly order and is a swordsman in the fighter guild(have many ranks still to go) and the champion in the arena :PP

finished the game with your lvl 21 Battlemage! My god..you must have rushed throught he main quest? I'm lvl 21 and I haven't even closed the first Oblivion gate! I'm not even half way ready to try and do the main quest..there's entirely too many other things to do first. I think I'm about..maybe 30 hours in?
I'm just about done with the Dark Brotherhood, Thieves Guild, and finished the Arena last night as well..I guess that's what I love about this game--it is what you make of it..if you want to rush through the main quest--it's right there from the beginning and it will scale the difficulty level of what you're facing constantly--so the first gate is never too easy or too hard for example..if you go in when you're lvl 20 you'll be facing better enemies with better gear..but that's great, better gear = better loot :)
tonight, after my BF2 is all wrapped up, I'll be finishing the Dark Brotherhood, and buying my first house..and now that i've seen how well a vampire can be played if played correctly, i'm considering making that commitment as well..
Hell, I never finished the main quest line in Morrowind..though I probably will finish it in Oblivion, it's a little more entertaining this time..
O yea...and why can't you get married to a woman/man/creature and have teh secks like in Fable? :(
Question: How do you join a guild I can't figure it out, but there is a lot to this game so...
as far as joining a guild just go to one of the guild halls and talk to the right person, you need to be invited to joni the theifs guild and the dark brotherhood tho.
for all you non rpg guys, what makes this game so good?
I think this game would appeal to everybody no matter what genre is their favourite.
