Page 1 2 3 >>How about the European market. It is bigger than Japan, I don't know why there is all the concern over Japan, and why MS is catering, and smooching up to them so much.
Maybe I'm just too old. I don't get the anime, pokemon thing either.
Give me my Ubisoft games.
These Japanese games are really wearing on me. I guess its great for those who like them, but they all look the same.

but so far it looks like final fantasy tactics meets crystal chronicals
This is not RPG, it's basically card game with monopoly-like boards.
that doesnt mean i hate tactical rpgs ..but at least they use the Next-Gen power..
c'mon its like a ps2 title..

I wish more Japanese developers would use real-time lighting and shadowing system. Using just textures and polygons makes this game look very similar to Dragon Quest VIII and Rogue Galaxy.
I don't like the board style gameplay but the battle grounds look fairly good.
People should realise that Japan like their anime style graphics, and even though the 360 is capable of next gen shader features doesn't mean they have to be used in all games.
Mixing Cell shaded graphics and HDR lighting would look messy and unconvincing, Cell shaded graphics are supposed to look like comics/cartoons which have flat shaded textures and over exagerated lighting.

I should image it would take a lot of art resources to pull that off in a game though..
And yea i see what you mean by the Rogue Galaxy pics..
Alot of Japanese developers are so far behind. I remember the times when a video game wasn't developed in Japan, it would be considered as mediocre. Now it's just the opposite. The game seriously looks flat.
Will be interesting to see how much better Frame City is looking now, if at all ...
Companies as square-enix doesnt, and thats why ff7 tech demo looks like it does.
