Page << 1 2The game isn't very poly-intensive. I say 'smart' texturing as the textures really aren't much more detailed than most. Just look closely at the backs of the soldiers to the right, especially where their pack meets their back. Its not really an excellent texture. Just 'smart.'
The lighting is execllent though. And the slight motion blur on the far right soldier is well done.
And honestly, the overall effect is blammin' awesome!
Looks unfisnished though definately. Look at the area up top between the two buildings, past the tree.
This game certainly looks great, but look carefully at the skin and clothes textures. They are still surpassed by Call of Duty 2.
This might change in the final version though.
But I also get the idea the previous BIA screens look significantly better.
But that could be the capturing of the moment.

You're mistaken, perhaps on a SD version of CoD2 versus this HD screenshot but in general the quality of this shot is mediocre at best.
You need to look at some CoD2 shots to see that this above screenshot is about the same in regards to details.

I am sorry, but apart from particle effects BIA eats COD2 alive.
The lighting, quality of texturing, post processing effects (which COD2 almost completely lacks), destructible environments are all far superior in BIA3. Don't even pretend to know anything about graphics, m'kay?
Honestly, I can't believe you said that with a straight face.
Hey, Hey guys. Calm down,

I had to go to another website to see the image full screen if anyone is wondering.
THAT WAS GOOD!!! YOU HAVE A GREAT SENSE OF HUMOR!!!!

2) again, you spout off a boatload of big buzzwords but you haven't a sniff of a clue what you're talking about.
Seriously, if you're going to talk about buzzwords at least have something to reference against. Saying "destructible environments" means nothing when that can't been seen in a movie or screenshot. Don't give me "oh you can see broken bricks in the shot, the environment must be destructible".
I swear, some people really need to open their eyes, the graphics shown in the above shot are on scale with CoD2, the previous shots for this game looked much better.
The gameplay may be better than CoD2 but you can't see that from the shot now can you.
I would say the screenshot is 1.35 x COD2's graphics but in motion it could be 3 x COD2's graphics :)
And this screen shots certainly does not look as good as the last ones we've seen.
1) I don't see any appreciable particle effects in the above screenshot at all, are we looking at the same shot?

The first couple of photos released do look much, much better than this in reguards to polys and texture detail. What makes this look good is the lighting. And no, i don't think this looks any better than COD2 in any other respect other than the lighting in that particular scene.
Hopefully it's just a poorly taken screenshot.
The only thing that bugged me was the story and the occasional enemy AI glitches that were rather frustrating.
My point was that everyone seems to be over-hyping the graphics and the above shot is not much better (if at all) than other 360 WW2 titles thus far.
Stuff like that adds a lot to the gameplay, and should also be in true 'next-gen' games besides just nicer graphics..
By the way, the game's website it awful.
