Test video of Tony Hawk next-gen?

Found on the enormous japanese forum 2ch, here is a video that seems to be an animation test for a next-gen Tony Hawk game, according to the file name at least. It certainly does move nicely.

Very nice. Looks like they are going for the realistic approach to gameplay this time, without 7ft ollies and 100 move combos.

could this be for the Wii?

Tony Hawk at 2CH?

Are the Japanese even into skateboarding?

Skateboarding is very popular in Japan and the level is pretty high :D

Nice video with good animation. I hope they'll go for a more realistic approach too this time.

Really fluid animation. The ollies actually look lifelike.

The self shadowing is also outstanding. Very very nice video--I hope it is real! It was so nice I did not even mind the lack of coth physics on the shirt. As short and bland as the video is, all the small details look outstanding and actually excite me for the game... which no Tony Hawk game has ever done.

There is no way that company will innovate in such leaps. In fact they refuse to hear any critique about their stale franchise that really hasnt taken a generation leap since it first appeared on the PSX (as in, appeared out of nowhere totally new).

Why would they invest in the future when they can milk us with countless last-gen PS2, PSP, DS etc versions three times a year.

hoping they go back to the more realistic aspect of skateboarding as many people have said. i prefered the pro skater games to the more recent underground/wasteland games

Great animation--nothing else is exactly mindblowing (neither is the animation really)--don't know why people would question this as being possible....so what AW looks like trash on 360? It's a vanilla port of an old game..what would you expect?

I also prefered the Pro Skater series to underground and wasteland, but I don't think the latter are horrible games either...THPS4 is my favorite in the series though. I actually LIKE skating as the pros rather than some generic creation of my own...I had the same complaint about SSX4--they went from pretty nicely developed characters to generic user creations..I hope that trend dies. Not all games need a freaking character generation system.

Amazed.

Really really nice. Arm-waving was really good animation, so smooth and realistic.

Well played, Neversoft would it be?

Good animation, Out of the series I think I liked Pro Skater 3 the best. The others were fun but part 3 is still my favorite.

That looks pretty bad ass, but I'm tired of skating games that let you grind for a mile without falling.
