It seems that next gen is all about graphics. The AI looks amazing too. I like the way the german is looking over at the wall, instead of having an oblivion style 'I'VE SEEN YOU, CUE THE CHEESY BATTLE MUSIC'.

yes but its also true that WW2 fps games are somewhat tedious and repeitive wat will make this one any diffrent? graphics alone cant help a genre its orginality and gameplay personally and WW2 games suffer from a lack of orginality tbh.

what's up with that "extended trailer"?
Every site is mentioning this and they are all redirecting to the same gametrailers trailer.
But that trailer is exactly the same one posted here before.
Has it been removed again?!

i have watched the trailer my friend but ive played every decent WW2 game since MOH on the playstation tho im not admiting Brothers in arms will be a bad game im just highlighting that the genre has dragged out somewhat over the years and doesnt just need and extra lick of paint but some nice new add ons i hope this can provide it but i would much rather see games like Mass Effect or To Human draggin on in the time lines rather than WW2 fps.

Just noticed something. You know the image of the guy with half a finger holding the kid. The first image here also shows the guy with half a finger.

It seems he does have half a finger.

Thats up to you, but there is obviously enough people that still enjoy WW2 games. I prefer them over recent war games like GRAW and Delta Force due to the grittyness and european rural location of them.

Alright, im only quoting you because you said that it seems that next gen is all about graphics.

That being said, you need to look at this, and when i say ''you'' i mean everyone. This will blow you away, every time you watch it....and dont let the fact that this is a PS3 related article affect your opinion any way shape or form. I can guarentee this is a physics engine that will be used in various games that will be on the 360.

Enjoy:

It was the cover story on OXM, they said it was coming to 360 the same time it did for ps3.

I agree that this will be a big thing when the technology has matured enough. Basically it means that characters are controlled physically by AIs by actually contracting their muscles instead of using canned animations. The possibilities are really great. For example, imagine a fighting game where the opponent reacts physically correctly to every blow and the reaction is different each time depending on the precise physics of the situation - no more jerky transitions between different keyframed animation sequences. Game characters won't be animated any more, they will be _trained_ to move and adapt to different situations. It might just define next-gen gameplay! :)

Ok found the extended trailer, but no downloadable file anywhere, just streaming!
Gametrailers apparantly removed the extended trailer :(
Anybody know where it can be downloaded?

Brothers in Arms is more a strategy game then a shooter... because if you dont set up right, your screwed.. plus this is not call of duty... 1 shot and your gone in BiA

What's up?
  • Doom_Bringer
Doom_Bringer oh yea that, Dragon Age was preloading at the time (2 Hours ago)
  • GriftGFX
GriftGFX Maybe.. it's different for pre-loaded stuff too. (2 Hours ago)
  • Doom_Bringer
Doom_Bringer @GriftGFX: well Dragon age extracted is suppose to be arround 20 gigs but the download was only 8 gigs or 15 gigs...procedure might be different for newer games (2 Hours ago)
  • GriftGFX
GriftGFX 45 minutes for this game would have to be like... 3+ megabytes per second. My Comcast can't do that. (3 Hours ago)
  • GriftGFX
GriftGFX My FFOW DL is almost 12.9 gigs and like 95% done. (3 Hours ago)
  • GriftGFX
GriftGFX Steam appears to download extracted and installed, there's no install process once you finish downloading a game. (3 Hours ago)
  • Doom_Bringer
Doom_Bringer D2D file right now is 9.2 GB's. I think it was less when I was downloading it (now its extracted) I am pretty sure Steam works the same way. 12 gb is probably the extracted size :P (3 Hours ago)
