Xbox 360 PS3

Ubisoft today announced that Ubisoft Montreal is working on an upcoming stealth/action game, Assassin's Creed, which today only is announced for a PS3 release in 2007. But don't forget that the game also was announced (as Project Assassin) for 360 during X05. They released an artwork and a trailer of it, available here.

oh my friends.i`m not sure.but i hear this report from a my japanes friend and he said to me that some japanes sites confirmed this report.
Because Japanese sites would know what a western developer is doing ?

The fact that you are unsure is probably reason enough not to say anything..
Or Ubi's really pissed off about not getting the Lionhead deal.
LOL if this is true MS better get on it's knees and start throwing money ..

Ubi would be stupid to cancel a multiplatform game to just stick it on one console, that would completely throw off thier financials and cut thier profits by a substantial margin(especially with how good GRAW sold on the 360), unless they think the PS3 is gonna sell so well that they can just up and ignore the 360(which is highly unlikely). I think they are just holding off announcing thier 360 games for Microsofts pre-E3 press conference.

Ubi is the only developer that pushes the system, can't wait to see how this one turns out. SC:DA as well... looking forward to seeing some real time from e3.

This game is coming to the XBOX 360 just like Brother's in Arms.

In case anyone of you has forgotten, OXM ran the story on BIA already. And here's confirmation all the way from X05

Another thing...anyone remember Fight Night Round 3...which was shown "exclusively" for the PS3 last E3...guess where it came out?

What say does Sony have in the trailers Ubisoft releases? Its not like they're first party and Sony can dictate when and what to show.

This game looks sweet though, and from what ive read about what they plan to do with the level of interaction and animation of the character, we truly are headed into the next gen.

The publishers themselves have confirmed 360 releases, so it's coming out.

I think that Assassin's Creed should be online like Pandora tomorrow and Chaos theory was. Now how awesome would it be assassin in robes and hood with only blades and arrows killed guards. Like the amount on assassins vs guards would be just awesome.

If they made it like the gameplay would play as a mix of Prince of Persia and Splinter Cell with the vs combo on online would be awesome.

Ruggeder, please change avatar, those two that are "playing" around makes me dizzy in a good way but still change it. :P

lol Sony did dictate what was to be shown. Infact according to some developers sony told them if it doesnt look as good as the 360 or better not to show any footage of it. They even stopped small companies from making games for the ps3 because they didnt have the budget capable of creating such graphics. So they are dictating one hell of alot.

"Stopped small companies making games for the PS3" What the hell are you talking about? Where did you hear such crap? I don't want to go off topic though but that's total BS. Sony even made a cheap dev-kit so that more developers can create and widen the library of PS3 games. No idea why anyone would believe that Sony stopped companies from making games for PS3...:/ Makes no sense.
More games = more sales.

This issue about whether this game would be coming to the PS3 exclusively and not the Xbox360 was resolved yesterday. There was an update on a couple of websites after a Ubisoft conference, and the game will be coming to both consoles.

Ubisoft Kills All With Assassin’s Creed
READ MORE: E3, PS3, assassin's creed, ubisoft

Ubisoft announced that the team behind Prince of Persia is creating an exclusive PS3 next-gen franchiser titled Assassin’s Creed. Set during the Crusades, the game centers on assassins out to suppress both sides of the conflict. Think Splinter Cell meets religious zealots. You know what song that is? It’s everyone’s new favorite tune: “Expect More At E3.”

Update: Got our hands on the Ubisoft press release, and this game is not a PS3 exclusive. Hit the jump for the full release.

This was from www.kataku.com I just had to copy the article to quiet things down a little.

Sony didn't actually try to stop small developers from working on PS3. What happened was that there was (might still be) a shortage of development kits and so the bigger companies were bumped to the front of the line.

The middle ages art style looks awesome but I wonder if it's going to be in first person or third person. I hope it doesn't play like a Dynasty Warriors or Ninety Nine Nights game.

well they didnt stop them from developing stuff per say. They just set them such stupid guidlines which made small companies unable to develop for it. One of the guidelines was that it must look as good as launch 360 games. Microsoft as you know are just letting any graphics on the 360, final fantasy 11 for instance. Sony however would have had a thing or 2 to say about a game looking like ff11 going on thier new system. With sony its all about hype and they need to keep that going by setting a high graphical standard.

Although this will stop some of the small more fun games from coming threw.
