Looks amazing. I can't believe the detail in the dashboards! Although I can't figure out why the sides of those shots are blurred....

methinks they're trying to go for a bit of photographic depth of field with that blurriness on those photos....

when we gonna get the Ford Fiesta ;)

Blurry sides? I believe that's called motion blur... unless the car is stationary.. then it's just another demensional rift on the sides of the car.

and by motion I mean the camera moving... could also be just some shitty "focus/depth of field" attempts.

I must say im impressed by the amount of pictures they release from this game. No other game has this much media about it i think.

That video was awesome.....

*drools* that is just awesome.

On the shots they have a mix of motion blur effects and focus blur effects, which is why the sides are blurry. But, really, you are going to be looking at the middle of the screen most of the time.

Oh god, i hope they are building up to unveiling the Bugatti Veyhron.

do you guys think that this is real ingame grafics? I think it's ingame but will have a lot of jaggies in real... no way that there is so much antialiasing if we play the game.

I think it will be like PGR3 in terms of screenies and real ingame grafics.

I just hope its plays as good as it looks

I don't care how much polygons they save with normal mapping and whatnot, their cars use too few polygons and reflections DO NOT lie. The paint looks distorted and unsmooth unlike the PGR3 cars which have enough polygons to approximate decent reflections. Unbelievable amount of work put into the texturing, only to be let down with low-poly models :(

TDU is awesome. Can't wait to get my hands on it.

The reflections can be a bit off, but low poly models? Come on now. What's up with the tearing though? I've seen it in multiple official screens.

Example. Top of the wheel.

Here too. Starting at the red arrow thingie.

It's not screen tearing, it's some other weird shit.

Other than that it looks and sounds completely awesome.

i can live with a bit of tearing, when compared to the originality and scale of this amazing looking game it means nothing

Goes acrosss the whole screen diagonally in that shot actually. Weird.

Screentearing can only be horizontal right?

Dude, what's up with "Pagani[or other brand] is in!", we have seen the Zonda a million times in previous shots, I don't see why Atari needs to announce them.

Well yes, the models are very low poly when compared to PGR3, and that's one of the reasons why the reflections are off, I thought it was common knowledge already.

It's an MMO in one Continuesly streamed level what do you expect ?

V sync maybe?, but I dont understand the diagonal tearing, unless they rotated the image.
Commented on 2006-05-05 21:23:49
tearing on a screenshot??? I think tearing is like texture shimmering only present in realtime rendering...
Commented on 2006-05-05 21:28:38
That's the most insignificant example of tearing that I've ever witnessed, and present in what... two of the screenshots?

Too many people looking for graphical flaws.
It makes me frown.

  • GriftGFX
GriftGFX 45 minutes for this game would have to be like... 3+ megabytes per second. My Comcast can't do that. (11 Hours ago)
  • GriftGFX
