Page << 1 2 3 4 >>I hated the 1st 2 games because of the repetiveness. After the 1st level, its the same thing over and over and over. The character models in that picture dont look any different from the last game, but that explosion looks too good for me to believe. And knowing how they love showing pre-rendered stuff for COD games, Ill just assume it wont look this good.
Gonna stick with Brothers In Arms 2.
wow, you judge a game FROM ONE screenshot, geez, could you judge nintendogs from one screen shot ? can you judge halo before it came out ? could we judge resi 4? can we judge anything from one shot, no
come on guys give it a chance, me myself i think it looks fantastic and cant understand why you want to dis this game before you have played it
there games we are ment to be playing them for fun value, for a story, or just downright to shoot your mates with out getting arrested, why is the world turning into such graphic whores visuals are a massive part of a game yes, but there not it's soul
look at ff7 graphics to make you vomit blood even in it's day, but good god what a game
How great the gameplay and animations are?
I agree that you shouldn't disregard this game just by this single screenshot, but all we can discuss here at this moment is what the screenshot looks like and maybe some speculation.
If that bothers you and you just want to read about how much fun this game will be, you shouldn't bother reading the comments here.
What's so "obviously doctored" in this image?
It's Brothers in Arms 3 buddy.
How can people say this looks bad..........when they said the in-engine teaser was gorgeous?
If you mean the E3 trailer, then your off when you called it an "in-engine teaser." That was so obviously pre-rendered, despite what anyone says or believes. Even if the developers said that it was running on the games engine themselves, they're bullshitting. I think its what they wanted the game to look like, but they wont accomplish that. Just like Killzone 2 for PS3, just like Madden for 360, and all those other games that showed CG bullshit and said the games would look that good, and dont nearly live up to it.

I can prove it's real with ease.
In fact, I've done so.... http://ccfx.net/nextboxforum/viewtopic.php?t=7911&...
In case you can't see that though, I'll just sum it up....
1. Clipping all over the place
2. No AF
3. A huge friggin seam in the middle of a wall
All of those are things that cannot happen in CG.
Uh.... bullshit.

If you've seen the cutscenes in certain games, like Resident Evil 4, or Kameo, they look like the game but use enhanced gfx features that make it look better, like better shadowing and other types of things. I think thats what they did with the COD trailer.
hey if you believe thats how the game will look then go ahead, but your gonna be disappointed. Its even clear to see that the screenshot above doesnt look nearly as good as that trailer. The texture detail is not as high, and theres none of the shadow effects from the trailer.

But the fact of the matter is that it was NOT cgi.
as some one else said actually LOOK at the screen shot, please dont start this "killzone" argument, dont get me wrong i WANT it to to look like the demo, but the fact of the mater is it aint going to, i will be happy if it looks like cod2 because i thought that was amazing visualy.
The sounds the guy makes, and the way he fires the gun.... It all gives it away man, pure CGI. However the environment looks like real time, is it possible to overlap a CGI character to a level walk through?
about the earlier COD3 movie (CGI or not, whatever)... the only thing that matters for me is that the scene in that movie wasn't actual gameplay. no way you can control your view in such a fast manner and with that small angle of view.
btw... why should clipping not occur in a CGI-movie??
the bia3 trailer seems to be ingame, but e.g. the scene where your comrad is shot and falling into your arms is scripted... or how would that be possible at any position in the game?? did i miss something?
It's Brothers in Arms 3 buddy.
that screen looked ok though
Just curious, what do you expect people to discuss about if they are confronted with nothing else but one screenshot?

CGI = prerendered video
real-time = rendered in real time, doesn't have to be with game engine, but usually is. (this is how I understand it. I might be wrong. hasn't been known to happen)
in-game = rendered in realtime and showing true gameplay
also, can't understand why the developers try to create the most realistic water always. It's like few extra inches of male ego if u ask me. So useless. I'd like to see that power go to something useful instead. I remember ghost recon that had so heavy water that it made the xbox stutter like it was having a seizure.
