looks great

considering that this was made to spec of a 2005 PC-harware (lindbergh-board) this looks surprisingly good.

It looks cool graphically, but something about the doubles play reminds me of the videos of Wii Sports Tennis. Maybe its the robot like movement(in doubles) or the silly yellow streaks following the balls.

Grapics and gameplay looks good.

I think this is a stunning game, but then I never understand Manager's comments, so nothing new there.

I vastly prefer this arcade approach to the create a player random-a-thon that Top Spin succumbed to online. Table Tennis is an excellent showcase of what you can do for balance when you have predefined characters with set attributes.

Looks good, very atmospheric, and you can actually recognize the players!
But what's up with that cartoony "SMASH" light that appears when you hit a ball!
That just looks stupid, I hope that is an option that can be turned off, very annoying!

So what does this tennis game do that others haven't already? It looks great, but if you've played one tennis game, you've played them all. Nothing much has changed since Virtua Tennis 1.

Not quite. I played VT 1 & 2, and I bought(regretidly) Top Spin for the 360 and let me tell you theres a great deal of difference. Most importantly is the fun factor, which VT has top spin beat hands and rackets down.


Also, this looks just as good as TS, maybe better, but in one scene you actually see the players racket disapeer into the ground. Hopefully they have that fixed. But if this game is as fun and as pick up and play as VT 1&2 were/are, than it should be great and a must own.

Where was this? It wasnt something that really stood out to me. On the other hand, the ball trails do need to go. Hopefully that is an option that you can turn off and on, becuase really when do you ever see those trails on baseballs, tennis balls, golf balls, etc? If its a tracer in some ghost recon game, sure.

The ball trails were present in the arcade version I played at a trade show in January. I doubt they're going to be disapearing any time soon.
