This just doesn't look impressive, I am sure the game play is good though.

I'm so sick of hearing that though. PES has good gameplay and not-so-good graphics, but at least it has great animations, which makes the game look great.

Nothink much here graphics are not that good, it might improve by time it release, and ive never played a hockey game before and i won,t be buying this.

Yeah, I haven't played a hockey game myself because they all look so dull. They should create a game where you can slice people's heads off with the stick. Like a fatality... Oh, and it needs more boobs. I'd buy it then

I think 2k hockey games are terrible. EAs hockey games are so much better in every way.

I would like to see mutant league ice hockey to 360.

I actually like the 2k hockey games wayyy better, hitting feel way better, and so does scoring.

EA sells more because their game has shinier graphics and because they are "THE COOL PUBLISHERS!"
While a REAL sport fan's game (PES, NHL 2k7, Nba etc) with great gameplay gets forgotten about but who cares, the real sports fans enjoy their game more and don't need to brag. :)

It used to be the opposite too. 2K really went downhill after being sold to Take 2.

Excellent idea! I never had the originals on the Megadrive, but I'd love to see Mutant League Football and Mutant League Hockey updated for the X360 too, or at least as an XBLA download! I've never seen another game like those, seemed like a good idea to me too, and not something that has been done to death either.

And while we're on the subject of old games.. Bring back Blast Chamber! :-D

I played hockey almost whole my life and its the sport in my heart but I think EA is alot better than 2K.I really tried to like 2K but for me 2K has terrible graphic and the players rotate abnormal and feels like they skate in the air or sth.EA has the graphic, it has the feeling it has everything a hockey lover likes including all important leagues in europe.

I tried out the old Mutant League games the other week... those games havn't held up to well over the years a new version of the game though would be nice!! EA owns the rights to the series....

2K hockey games were good last gen, definately the game of choice for "hockey" people. The EA games were a bit to arcadey for my liking...

I've played hockey all my life aswell and i'm just saying it feels more real i don't care about graphics. in the EA games you press the hit button and no matter how far you are and it auto pilots into the player, it sucks, in 2k you have to actually hit the guy, skating into him. Also the EA games take way too much control of the game, kinda like Wayne gretzky's 3d hockey on 64, where you get ahead and all of sudden the game gets harder and no matter what you do if the game doesn't want you to score youdont'.

"Better" is so arbitrary and relative. I have played hockey for over 25 years, and I like playing EA better than the 2k series because of the look/animations and response, but I'll admit the 2k is a more 'pure' hockey sim in most cases because it has features EA doesn't that impact the game.

I still think EA could have the better game easily if they would just abandon the arcade fanbase and go more sim style. There is a ton of hockey purists that seem to be the only dedicated fanbase to this genre, whereas the non-hockey fan doesn't usually even give these titles a look.

And for the love of god, spend a little less time on getting every bolt, banner and seat right in the stadium rendering and more time on AI, animations, and phsyics modeling. I couldn't care less if every player looked the same if it played a good game of hockey!
