At first announced on Xbox, then canceled, then finally announced for 360, Chromehounds has a rather long history now. Well it's now finally available in Japan and Europe, and even if my full impressions will have to wait until I've played the game a bit more, here are the first 10 minutes of the game, showing a CG cutscene and the full totorial level. More videos in the next few days. The game runs at 60 fps, so do the videos. A powerful PC is required for the 720p version!

Well we can always dream for Chromehounds 2.

That's not to say Sega won't throw more money at them for a PS3 version.
The thing with Full Auto is that it was originally being dev'd as multiplatform and then they cancelled the PS3 version, but it was more like they decided to make the PS3 version Full Auto 2 because they had longer to work on it.
I can see similar happening with Fight Night 3.

Commented on 2006-07-03 18:21:24Graphics-wise I have seen better-looking games even on the PS2. Sure, the mechs are ok, but the environments are simply bland and empty. The destruction you can cause is quite limited, too. There's nothing "next-gen" in Chromehounds.
Commented on 2006-07-04 10:55:01C'mon it was dumb in DOOM3 and it seriously dumb here.
What were they thinking, killing things with a Mech is all about the CARNAGE you can amount on the battle field.
Looking around and seeing the piles of debris from your rampage is half the fun.

One of the first 360 games to have a truly smooth framerate, and there's nothing in the environment. Destroyed tanks magically disappear without a trace. Wow.
