Page 1 2 >>top spin is better, i think!
Horses for courses I guess.
I did not watch the bigger version but this did seem to lack some of the shadowing techniques in some of the recent PR shots.
EDIT: Thanks snoopers! Seems both the question and the answer beat my response haha!
Btw, I am loving the streaming video!
And yea the streaming was a brilliant idea. :)
Not to mention the insane amount of unlockables that Virtua Tennis had that was missing in the Top Spin series
Mini games were also always a blast
Also lets not forget the fact the music in Virtua Tennis trounces the music in Top Spin
Seems to be the E3 version, there's still no self-shadowing (as in the PS3 version). At E3 I was wondering about that, because a Sumo dev told me the 360 version was noticeably longer in development than the PS3 version (whereas it looked as if it was the other way around).

Oh my god the rally to that first deuce was incredible! :D
Shame might not be out this year.
Which strikes me as odd because tasks like self-shadowing should be easier to do on the 360 than the PS3 (Xenos has a magnitude better dynamic branching and has been confirmed by multi-platform devs). It could be that Top Spin is being developed with Lindberg (6800GT) in mind so re-doing the effects on the 360 would take too much time and effort.
very unrealistic top spin 2 is better just try out the demo
In fact i would say its more the oppisite.
Maybe its because i've been forced to watch wimbledon for what feels like a lifetime these past 2 weeks but comparing it to the real thing it doesnt seem to do it justice, not that i like tennis, i hate it to be quite honest, but the animations could have been merged together better.
edit: oh, streaming works nicely, like the 16/9 ratio aspect
With the next consoles after the ps3 and 360. We'll have so much processing power that we'll likely be able to really push the envelope graphically while maintaining a very advanced form of animation system.
But they look kinda funny when they jump after ball, kinda same animation all over :(
