Xbox 360 PS3

Valve just announced that PS3 and 360 ports of Half-Life 2 are to be released next-year, in a big pack containing the game as well as the two "Episodes", Portal (a solo game featuring experimental gameplay) and... Team Fortress 2. Yep, THE Team Fortress 2. With its shaders-filled cartoony look, the game seems pretty far from what it used to be when it was still using the Quake Engine... And I must say I'm totally seduced. Are you ?

I certainly wasnt expecting this, from the screenshots i saw yonks ago of the PC version it was military fatigues n the lot.

I pray it plays like the original, one of the best multiplayers EVAR

The Source engine once again surprises me. Too bad it runs a bit crap on my PC for whatever reason.

that'd be sweet to see TF2 on live,... then some of these people might actually learn what is like to have to work with a team or fail.

just waiting for a 360 version of Tribes that plays like the first one over live.

TF2 looks awesome with this new cartoony-look imho.. I can't wait to play it.. I couldn't wait for Episode 2 already, but this makes the waiting even harder.. EP2 and TF2 in 1 package for only 20 bucks, what a steal..

The Xbox 360 (and PS3) version is a even bigger steal as it also includes the maingame Half-Life 2 and Episode 1.. Add that to Episode 2 and TF2, and you get bassicly 4 games for the price of 1..

And then I didn't even mention Valve's new Portal game, which is also included, and should be fun aswell..

Is anyone else disturbed by the way they are standing next to plugs and are obviously on a kitchen floor scaled down?
Are they going in the direction of a childrens game? Or is the background just a joke?

I just hope that there is no link between Xbox Hλlf-Life 2 suddenly not being compatible in 60 Hz mode in Xbox 360 because of new compatibility update and the fact that the game is coming soon to the Xbox 360...

It's not the "art style" that impresses me so much about that screenshot, it's the fact that while in gameplay, you can actually look at a character or another team and know what classes they are composed of. This is a fantastic strategy dicission over the original TF, where you only could really tell because of a small armband texture. This is going to be able to add so much more strategy to the game. You can look at another team and know what they are composed of . . . know their strengths and weaknesses based on character class . . . and they will know yours. It's kinda like playing poker with half your cards on your forehead. It will really force teams to play as teams, as any team who cannot play as a cohesive unit, will get totally pwned by teams who do. The amount of potential strategy that it opens up will certainly be interesting. I'm just chomping at the bit to see map layouts now. This is going to be so kickass! I may have to buy this for PC if the X360 version does not release on the same day as the PC version.

Sweet.

The demo i played of HL2 on the PC never really inspired me to buy the game. But if i can get the game plus all this extra content it might be worth the buy!
