Castle Crashers announced for the Arcade

Behemoth today announced their new game Castle Crashers during the Comic-Con, a side-scrolling old-school beat'em'up for the XL Arcade. They released a bunch of images and a great trailer, showing some cool stuff.
Update: Most of the images removed after Behemoth's request.

Due to an human error, some images were published on this site that weren't supposed to be published this early. Our deepest apologies to Behemoth.

Sweet. If games like these continue to be made for XBLA I'll probably end up broke!

is so good to see microsoft supporting its Ideas so strongly..Its amazing how they say somthing and they actually creating it to be solid real.. When I first heard of the Live Arcade i thought it was just another promise like the rest of the companies.. SONY "Network Play" Nintendo Gamecube "Online Play" ..I mean yes those companies had it as well but it wasnt as supported and taken cared of like Microsoft does it with its Online Options right now.. Its great to see a carzy idea being formed into reality like the live arcade and not staying in the back of our heads like the rest of the companies do..

OH WOW! Alien Hominid started out as a Flash game on Newgrounds and was Bohemoth's first official console release. It worked a treat. Dad N Me, also a flash game on Newgrounds, was probably the best 3D scrolling brawler since Streets of Rage.

This is going to ROCK!

If they keep releasing awesome games for the Xbox live arcade, I'm going to need a bigger hard drive.

Yeah, Clonning Clyde is excelllent, if retro games like this are released regurlarly on XBL Arcade with old classics eg. Sonic, Track & Field..

I will be so happy.. if this game has XBL Co-Op.. **Drools**

This looks like a proper 2D beat em up! It reminds me of D&D in the arcades. Like another poster said, if it has XBL coop I'm going to need a drool bucket...
Commented on 2006-07-20 18:12:19
Yeah Co-op would be so cool! Can't wait to get my hands on this..

What's up?
  • digi_matrix
digi_matrix Paranormal Activity was insane, totally deserves being the most profiting indie film ever made. I saw the original version, not the theatrical one. WAY BETTER! (4 Hours ago)
  • SimonM7
SimonM7 Nope, no such prestige I'm afraid. Just 1½ year of comic making and ICQ channel community on quakenet of all places. :) 2002 doesn't sound far back but it's soon 8 years ago. Time sure does roar past. (10 Hours ago)
  • Megido
Megido Did you make comics and stuff for kong back in the day? The art looks similar :) (11 Hours ago)
  • SimonM7
SimonM7 Thanks a lot, it's great to hear that it's appreciated. :) (12 Hours ago)

  • SimonM7
SimonM7 Thanks :D and yeah I do. M7 was originally a webcomic, and the idea now is to make it a bit of an entertainment blog in general and a webcomic. Only done two strips so far since I rebooted it in may. (13 Hours ago)
  • alimokrane
alimokrane @SimonM7: Dude That's amazing. Do u draw that stuff ?? (13 Hours ago)
