There is a reason why lead characters aren't usually real life counter parts..because they aren't as pretty or suited to be an action/adventure video game star... except for Takeshi Kaneshiro who played Samanosuke Akechi in onimusha.

I still can't get over Chow Yun–Fat as the lead character, but since it's a John woo game the action scenes would be awesome, and the level of destruction from videos are impressive.

still..why didn't they stick to a fictional game character as the lead..who does actually look like a tough guy on steriods blasting guns, beating up bad guys and blowing stuff up before asking questions.. (look how good when they stuck to a fictional punisher, rather than the guy who played in the movie for the punisher game? looked awesome and it worked..and it was one hell of a game)

UE3 and people with enough vision can usher in the next-gen with games like this. I was hoping Remedy would do a next-gen max payne (instead of alan wake, which I'm sure is good) but I guess this is as close as we will get.

As far as lack of AA goes, at least these shots are HONEST, direct framebuffer grabs. People are way too used to seeing downscaled and filtered shots and when a studio is being honest they get slammed for it.

I'd like to see the EDRAM and tiled AA being used MORE than any of you, but theres nothing we can do to open their eyes about it. And if I get to choose between native 720p without AA or upscaled semi-res with AA I'll take the native.

Take these shots into photoshop and downscale to around 1024x600 to see what "other studios" release, instead of honest shots. (barring studios who actually use AA in their games, like FNR3 or Saints Row).

Just to butt in on that 30 vs 60 fps thing, Play GRAW and while playing switch to thermal vision and experience the difference.
It's much and much smoother!
Also, try playing Motogp for half an hour or so, and then immediately play the TDU demo...not pleasant for the eyes...

This is one of the reasons that i buyed myself an Xbox 360 this spring. It looks awesome!
