More on The Outsider

David Braben (co-creator of the "Elite" series) is ambitious about his next big production.
Here goes the official info: The President has been assassinated, Washigton DC is under martial law, and ex-CIA operative John Jameson is the most wanted man alive. Framed for a crime he didn't commit, he finds himself fleeing from the might of the US Government.

Looks Interesting. Nice story. THATS ALL I CAN SAY.

looks very good graphically, if not a little bland with fairly dull environments, but i guess this doesnt really show much yet. Is this a third person shooter?

I cant say much. The Video is soo short and there is no sound. It's not even a 1MB trailer.

Why does this game look so finished, even though it's still in development? This is proof that some of the developers take their games seriously while others hope to make a quick dollar by releasing crap to some irresponsible buyer. You don't have to be the most reknown developer to make a potential triple A title.

Yes by seeing a few screenshots of a game and watching a 10 second trailer you can tell if a game is finished or not.

Well somebody's been watching 24.;) Scenes are probably pre-rendered.

It is not a trailer, it is only a glimpse at the game visuals in movement ;)

Well, I like the idea of the game a lot. Kind of Clancy-esque. And looks beautiful. Hope it turns out good.

The choice of the president getting assassinated, or becoming a giant on-the-run mech, destroying everything in his path... Hmm. I choose the latter:

:-)

Seriously though looks good. Animation looks a bit stiff but otherwise.

That was put so nicely.

I like the promo pictures, but I don't see anything outstanding in the 3 seconds that really showed the game.

He said it 'looks' finished. As in, these screens and the short movie could pass for being from the finished, released game.

I think it looks good. Its the most believeable non-real DC i've seen. The lighting and shadowing is very good. But the draw distance does seem fairly short in places. Only 500 metres or so in pic 5 before it blurs out into a background texture.

If the trailer is realtime I'll faint
