What? The whole city of New York? That's an INSANE feat, especially if they retain the detail we're seeing here.

Don't forget Quake 4, Prey, Gun, King Kong (most of it)....

Assasins Creed will be on the X360 too.

Ya know... if you don't like the game selection come november, you can just buy a PS3 or Wii. The 360 games (non FPS) i'm playing or looking forward to are: Dead Rising, Saint's Row, Oblivion, Chromehounds (tactical combat, not a shoot-em-up), Mass Effect, Assassin's Creed, Madden 07, Splinter Cell, Forza 2.

Maybe one of these strikes a chord with you.

More and more games are focussing more and more on multiplayer, this is nice for people that play on Live all the time, but for people who mainly play single player this is not so nice, but I guess those people playing on Live are the majority of the 360 owners?

I wish they'd sell two versions of the games, a single player version and a multiplayer version, so you're not paying extra for a feature you're not using...

I'm glad there are more FPS, I use to be a PC guy so all I'd played were FPS.

I also hope they port every PC game because I bought the 360. for the soul purpose of playing PC games at high graphical quality without the expense of upgrading every 4 months.

If its a whole city, there better be 1000 player servers or else its gonna take someone an hour before finding someone to kill.

I wonder will we see Crimson Skies 2 anytime soon, as the multiplayer in that game was kinda cool.

great news for FPS fans....but i remember when microsoft was screaming, xbox will not be like the pc..it is a completly new gaming console.

Pcs are the ones with a huge amount of FPS....i mean, it's why the keyboard and mouse combination works so perfectly.

I hope microsoft doesn't just flood the xbox360 with FPS..i already have 4 FPS out of my 8 games.. Come on microsoft..how about a platformer? like jak & daxter?

The whole city concept sounds interesting. Assuming they can get the simultaineous player numbers suitably large (ie 500 or more) there could a good opportunity for some intense clan based gameplay within the confines of NYC.

Hmm, i'll wait for a lot more information until deciding whether or not this is worth it.

No need to get so defensive over a giant corporate entity. People blame Microsoft because they lack diversity found on other platforms--now maybe that has something to do with their audience--but the fact is, that it's under their control to shape their own image and part of that is attracting the right kind of developers, with the right sort of software.. You say that Nintendo is the only one out there making original software, but that really doesn't explain the much greater diversity found in the playstation brand than on either platform..like it or not--it's just true.

So basically, yea, it's their fault.

Since Microsoft if so adamant about not supporting kb+M controls for the X360--I'd much rather see FAR FEWER of these games. They don't want people to think that the xbox is a PC--so let's release pretty much the same software but gimp the controls! Seriously--the lineup is screaming for diversity and you really can't blame people for getting tired of the same old shit..actually--it's a good thing--too many people being content with this sort of nonsense just makes the whole situation that much worse.

I'm sure if you give it time though, it will get better..I'm a little dissapointed in a way though--the original Xbox had a more satisfying initial lineup to me--Sega was there with lots of niche support which I really loved--and all we've seen from them thus far is a couple of published titles and no originals..sad.
