Sega released these 10 new images of Sonic The Hedgehog for 360 and PS3. As always now, these are "bullshots" with Sonic being rendered in higher resolution than the rest. Strange stuff.
They need to take the series back to the basics. If your 3D character can't recreate an amazing 2D experience, then maybe its time to put the ol' hedgehog to sleep. Giving his alter-ego a gun and giving it a convoluted plot won't make it any more appealing .
Its probably easy to program it where the areas around sonic are more anti-aliased, considering how its done anyway. Plus, with as fast as you'll be going you won't even notice jaggies if there are any in the final build.
yeah, at this level jaggies won't be a real concern when actually playing the game.
joergen, at that scale they won't be able to make the levels as detailed as the stages in doa4. textures could use some work(look at pic 6!), but this game in motion really does look great. seems to me like sonic team is taking this one seriously graphically. i hope we get good tunes this time as well, and better gameplay than the adventures.
but yeah, sonic team of today isn't what it was back then. then again, sonic isn't as huge anymore.
This gen will test whether or not graphics are what makes the games
