Gears of War images

The following images of Gears of War surfaced on the internet tonight, showing what seems to be both single player and multiplayer sessions. It looks awesome, and I think this is the first time the HUD is visible.
Update: 720p versions and extra images added. The images are obviously captured with an analog HD capture system, so the fine details are a bit lost.
Update 2: Images removed at Microsoft's request.

BlimBlim, will you get to go to X06 i think they could be an explosion of game sat this event GOW, Crackdown, Forza 2, Splinter Cell... MS should fly you over to wherever it is you do so much great xbox coverage..

Looking great but downscaled screenshots always make me frown. If we get these same ones in 1280x720 native without evidence of scaling then I can relax and appreciate the graphics with more trust.

I like that crossbow looking weapon, and the bald guy seems to be playable, so its cool.

This game is gonna be awesome. There is no other word or saying I can say that other people havent said it yet.

Though there is only something that bothers me...the dudes look so freaking huge, that its not funny in any way. They really have to tone down their body seize so this game can "look" more realistic when it comes to human.

This is a game about giant monsters attacking from underground. On top of that they are not dumb, they can use cover and guns and flank you?

I don’t think they was shooting for realism on this one. I think Epic was trying to make some characters that look like they could stand up to something like that.
