This game is the reason why they invented AA - all the small people in the background and the trees and bushes could really need it.
Oh and I think they invented grass for this game too... where is it?
And I think this game (golf) must be pretty boring, as half the people are watching in the opposite direction are they?

Ive never known a group of console fans like 360 fans that moan so so much over silly things. So what if a couple of the crowd are facing the wrong way. Surely its the way PGA GOLF plays its round of GOLF. Its not a crowd facing the right way simulator is it.

Its supposed to be a golf simulation. If they can go as far as to get exact lip synchronization on probably tiger, and only tiger (heh its EA), than i think they can go to the options and turn on Anti-Aliasing, at least to 2x.

The grass is a texture in this game. Grass is not supposed to be a texture, grass is supposed to be 3 dimensional. Even Tony Hawk 4 knew that, and that was a last generation game. And it was Tony Hawk. Activision is like the poorest company.

My my my, this really looks awful. It's just a five year old Xbox version in 720p. And those robot spectators... Just compare the crowds in the screenshots and vids of NBA 2K7. There are lots more people on screen, not only the players but also coaches, referees, cheerleaders, floor sweepers plus lots and lots of spectators and all of them seem alive because of the individual animation. And then check out Tiger Woods 2007 where there's only one or two individualy animated persons on screen, a static landscape, some clouds and gof ball on screen and still it looks like crap.

Because! The WHOLE point of the 360 is that it is DIFFERENT, BETTER and more POWERFULL! Unless you are dense you should know the selling point of the 360 was "next-gen". So we get pissed off when we pay $400 dollars for a console and $60 bucks for each game only to see that the things we waited for new system to fix, havn't changed. Yeah, i get it that it is silly. And we CAN enjoy games....I for one know graphics aren't everything, seeming how ff7 is one of my favorite games ever. But that was also almost 10 years ago.

will everyone stop moaning about lack of AA in screenies, its because of how the images are captured from the frame buffer, not because the game won't have it, so SHUT THE F*CK UP sheesh

they still haven't fixed the crowd in this game, the lighting and stuff is awful, the trees in he background are also awful, but this is EA remember, they are uber lazy, people will still buy this in their droves.

Now that i look at the screens, they look absolutely HORRIBLE in places.

Is it just me or have I been seeing entirely too much whining of forums as of late about grass textures. Its all good to be a graphics whore and all, I mean, the 360 is designed with that in mind. However, I think it might serve to pick out other deficencies aside from grass textures and backround crowd issues. Maybe something gameplay orientated?

Anyways, I have last years version of this game and while it wasnt bad, it wasnt great. Typical EA half-assed work. This new one doesnt look so bad though, graphics are decent and more importantly it seems they are adding some of the features that were missing in last years.

Is this game a great looking title, not really based on these screen shots. Is it a horrible looking title, again the answer would be no. It looks like an average run of the mill title which is fine by me as long as it plays well.

Well, i ask you this. Howcome in NBA Live, the floorboards are bump mapped, and look all nice and shiny, and real like, and in FIFA, the grass is all 3d (and looks really insane), but madden 07 still has shitty looking flat textured grass. I dont care how high of quality a grass texture is....grass should not be a texture.

Dont really need pictures of 06, considering I have the game. In anycase though, Im pretty sure EA will make the tall grass textured like that again, you cant just see it from the pictures here. The green was always a bit odd looking.
