uhh, not to be harsh but lets be honest here, this game wouldnt look out of place on the game cube, atleast its not all depressing dark innercities i geuss.

I love Sonic too and I cant wait for this one. The sensation of speed is amazing!!!

As I suspected; this game is a revamped version of the Dreamcast game. And there goes Sonic as smooth as cgi in extreme resolution while the background suffers.

Yeah, remake of Emerald Coast! And of course it's a killer whale man!Yeah, Sonic has serious AA\filtering applied while the background isn't so smooth, but that level doesn't look bad enough to be simply called a revamped DC version.
Everything in motion is smooth and looks great(you've seen videos?), and the fact that Sonic looks so much improved is a good thing. Compared to the videos, though, Sonic does look too smooth in these shots.

I just hope there will be more "action" stages in this game, less boring stuff.

Why the hell wuld they need cars??? Wasnt he darn faster then them in then then in the first place, I recall him hitting 600 km/h.

I don't think it's just a revamped version of the DC game. I think the guys at SEGA put the whole orca scene thingy just for nostalgia's sake... which is cool for us who played the first SA.

In regards to graphics, it's true floor and BG textures don't look as sharp as Sonic himself, but I don't think it'll matter since you'll pass through at 200 mph....

Not quite correct. The very first footage of next gen Sonic was rendered in-engine in realtime. There's never been any pre-rendered "target footage" of it, and it's mostly the angle of the shot that decides whether it looks great or not. Later shots seem to lean more towards what you'll actually be seeing when you play, as opposed to crazy zoom on the Sonic model to show it off.Since when do screenshots of people/hedgehogs in mid air mean they can fly?

Why the hell do the hedgehogs have such a high poly count and high antianalising. Eerything alse looks like crap.

Everything up to this point looked amazing. Hell even the Orca part looks amazing, and that level is sure to be killer, as it looks like a redux version of the first level in Sonic Adventure. Honestly though, why the hell did they have to put shadow back in to a damned car? They do realise that not only does he run fast like Sonic, but he's already got hover boots? He doesn't need a damned car, and he's not a ghetto bitch either. Stupid pricks, don't ruin this game for me, please.

I love the sonic games, but your right, the only mistake is the vehicles, ill still enjoy all the sonic levels tho ^_^
