Page 1 2 3 >>December the 7th can't come fast enough for me.
And damn that music is greatness !! :)
Didn't like the rock music for the boss battle though.
CGI sucks in my opinion, I'd rather see cinematics that use the ingame engine for a more consistent look to the game. I always remember how gorgeous Final Fantasy X's cutscenes were and then you got to the game graphics and it was so jarring. That's not happening here but if the CGI looks the same then why use CGI at all?
If the difference between ingame and CGI is hard to tell then why on earth are they using pre-rendered footage in the first place? Why not make ALL the cinematics using the ingame engine a la Metal Gear Solid? CGI just wastes DVD space and means putting up with inconsistencies, say, if your character is wearing a different outfit or holding a different weapon to that of the FMV... anyone remember Ninja Gaiden and its FMV when you were wearing different outfits?

What does it really matter anyway ? if Mistwalker feel they have enough disc space they can do what ever they like.
Saying that MW may surprise us by releasing it on 2 discs yet :P
It looks awesome altough the combat system doesnt have a revolutionary twist or maybe i just dont see it
At least it looks that way, its kind of hard to tell.

thanks guys!!!!
None of gameplay 1 and 2's links are working for me. What is up XBOXYDE?
I actually thought the whole demo was real-time, the are many polygon edges in the cut-scenes that blimblim pointed as CGI and generally geometry isn't that high - the lighting is a bit better though.
took me 2 battles to not get confused with the left hand screen that comes up during battles..where you see your character's face and emotions during the battle...i kept looking at that screen then the battle ahead and screen again.. It was a cool feature.
The ingame graphics do look as good as the cutscenes..and loading times are fast..which is great.
Can't wait for the demo either..still i wonder how amazing this game would've looked with a lost odyssey style graphics..a more realistic look than akira toriyama's? but i'm not complaining ..after loving dragonquest 8..i am looking forward to this.
