60fps? Are they aiming for that in the game now?

No, not today, but probably tomorrow.

No need for a powerfull computer, don't use WMP, it's slow, it takes about 3 times as much CPU to do the work as other players.

I recomend VLC for this, my comp can't even play this 100% CPU load with files like this, and with VLC I get 40-50% CPU load.

Why does Lost Planet do mech combat better than the actual mech combat games?

i never have trouble with WMP but that may also be cause my computer is pretty good (not the best, but it does the job really good).

the only problems i am having are the long downloading times i have the last few days at xboxyde i never had to wait 20 or 30 min to download a movie .

Because you can get off the machine if you want :D
You can remove mechs guns and use it by itself on foot :D

I showed this trailer to some of my friends today, and they freaking loved it! They especially liked the part with the transforming snowmobile mech.

Why do I need a good comp to view? I've got an old Dell Dimension 4550 and the movie still plays smooth on a 1600x1200 LCD, full screen.

Whoa Capcom brought this baby up to 60fps.... wow I'm starting to become more and more surprised by what they can do with the hardware.

Actually, it is not that bad to view. It is actually quite smooth. Looks like mpeg makes it very easy to view. If this were in wmv, it would be impossible. With VLC this runs perfectly. None of the other 720p wmv movies do though.

Here is the plan:
1) Download this vid remotely at work and use the 2Mbit SDSL to boost Bittorrent downloads
2) Transfer to the university and recode to a smaller size and framerate
3) Transfer here and watch on my crappy old laptop

If the game runs @ 60fps then we can officially call Capcom gods. But recently they said that 60fps with next-genesque graphics is impossible. Very confusing situation.

Yes only CAPCOM logo is in 60fps.
The rest of the movie is in 30fps - they doubled frames.

You could easy convert it to 30fps deleting every second frame.

You can check 30fps in VirtualDubMod using key arrows.

With WMP try to not resize the video, and watch it in its native form that will help. VLC only throws the video in native form thats why it never slows down. I get good framrates with both, but maybe is due to my CPU, however if i resize it to an akward scale then it will slow down in WMP.
