That could be what the game actually looks like. I've seen emulators that do stuff sorta like that in realtime without needing a system anywhere near as powerful as the 360.

Yeah, I think it's called KAI or something, some weird emulation filter to get rid of pixels. I'm not a fan of how this one looks though...
