Since this morning there is a rumor everywhere on the forums about an exclusivity of Splinter Cell Pandora Tomorrow on the Xbox. Being the great journalist I am (joking...) I contacted my friend at Ubisoft and he confirmed that indeed the game seems on track for an exclusivity, but not for the reasons everyone thought. In fact it's quite simple, the PS2/GC version is taking much longer to finish than the Xbox one (just like for the first Splinter Cell in fact). So it looks like the game will be available first on the Xbox at the official date, then a few weeks later on the other platforms. As far as he could tell there is no financial exclusivity there.
I'm waiting for him to call back to get more informations.
Update : UBI Soft officially denies that the PS2 and NGC versions of the games will be late. I'll recontact my friend as soon as possible to know what's going on exactly. If there is no report then excuse me for spreading a false rumour.
Update 2: Ubisoft just announced in his trimester results that both NGC and PS2 versions of the game are indeed postponed. Only the PC and Xbox versions will be out on the 25th of March !
