Page << 1 2For me personally I care more about AA then high resolutions like 1080p because I don't even have a 720p HDTV, let alone a 1080p one.. So the more AA the better for me since I play all my games still at a lousy 480p..
Anyway.. I'll probably won't buy this game, since I already have Topspin 2.. Unless offcourse this game turns out a lot better then that.. But I doubt it (especially when it comes to more realistic gameplay)..
Basically the Arcade version just uses a GPU that is a generation earlier of the same brand from Nvidia (Geforce 6 series) therefore GPU wise it is really easy to port to PS3. They don't even need to use the SPE's and it can just run on the PPE alone. Since the Arcade version has a P4 at about the same megaherz (which basically is slower per clocktick). The only thing the Arcade version has over both consoles is the amount of memmory. The rest, beside that, both consoles own Lindbergh.
360 has an:
1. An ATI GPU (also giving alot of trouble with the BC of the 360 because the Xbox had an Nvidia one. Just to show you how incompatible those things are.)
2. The Xenos is a wierd new kind of GPU. Unified shaders, EDRAM, etc are only now making its way to PC on both the Nvidia cards and the ATI cards. They do add functionality though, like Physics. As Nvidia is now demonstrating with thier Physics on the Unified Shaders. (Same goes for ATI and Havock Companies). The RSX is a conventional one.
3. Has a different DEV team for this game and the PS3 has the original team.
Sorry to say this again. :). I just hate it if anybody puts the PS3 or the 360 down on 1 game with things that simply arent true like the Anti Aliasing thing ;).
Before you all get carried away, I'll just point out that the VT3 PS3 shots are from a very recent version of the game, whilst the Xbox360 shots are months old (they're taken from the demo we did for E3).
Wait and see before comparing things, we might just surprise you yet :P
