Activision released this new gameplay video of Call of Duty 3. And while it may not be the most impressive title technically, it still does look good. Update : Added some images from the 360 and PS3 versions, and some from the multiplayer modes.
btw game looks great... and i like the smoke... but my issue is wtf is up with cars in tese games when you get in it looks like an old 80's arcade lol witht he hand and the wheel it just looks funny hehe
I was one of the people that won the contest to be the first to play COD3. I just got back on friday from santa monica. So for the record you can't throw grenades back in MP. There is vehicles in MP. Like a tank which another buddie can get on and use the .50. There is even a motorcyle you can get in and have a buddy in the side car. There is no CO-OP. When you play MP you pick a class this time. Like if your a scout you have a sniper rifle and your special ability is to call in air strikes...which kicks ass. Each class has three levels that you can upgrade as the match goes on I.E as a scout level 1 you can drop 3 shells on the enemy, if your level 3 you can drop 15! Medics are pretty neat because you can heal people and get 2 points for helping your buddies.Medics carry shotguns. This game will also support up to 24 players with no lag. They said they had a great network engine. Also they took out search and destroy and added a kick ass mode called war, where you try to take over certain points on the map. yes sony did say that the ps3 will always run at 1080p.
its on there conference talk,because they was slagging m$ of about there hd drive,saying it would only emulate 1080p not run it native like the ps3 would

No, they said it could, not that it always would. Get your facts straight. Show me when they say all games will run at 1080p. They never did.

I can honestly say I am not impressed that much in comparison to COD2. I dont see much graphical improvement, and instead it literally looks like a continuation of COD2 with a few better features added to make it slightly different, but nothing major. Im getting bored of COD and its about time that they gave it up since it just doesn't offer anything special anymore...

PH: The PlayStation 3 is the only format that can do full HD, true HD. So it’s obviously to our advantage to take advantage of that ... where appropriate. And it doesn’t require that every game be 1080p, because I think that some games actually look better at 720p depending on the style of the game, depending on the pixel rendering or pixel shading that’s been adopted.
But I was being a little bit cheeky [discussing 1080p so much during the event] because one of our friendly competitors made a very bold statement, saying that that there’s no way that we will be able to do [1080p] at launch. So we thought it was appropriate to, rather than get all emotional about it, just give it [1080p] a nudge.
This is Xbox 360 footage. On both, the button that is used for picking stuff up (like grenades in the video) is the button on the left corner of the diamond. This would be the 'X' button on 360 and would be 'square' on Ps3. It was an 'X', making this 360 footage.
Looks great, by the way. The animation and graphics are both a great step up from CoD2, and the framerate seems to have gone up as well! 0_o
