Page 1 2 3 >>This game deffinately looks better running in motion, if you look at the stills, it looks a lot less impressive.
My vote goes for Gears of War.
This has nice graphic but after this video, I don't see why this should stand out from all the other "kill the monsters"-FPS.

Well, as far as I know, Resistance has a strong story (according some journalists that have seen more than just a couple of levels from the game), which I don't think Gears of War will have (it will be more like a mindless blockbuster Hollywood movie than Resistance's story), seeing that it's made by a company that has never had good storylines in their games, whereas Insomniac has already proven they can write great stories.

I guess we'll have to wait and see on that one.

The thing about Gears that makes it stick out from others FPS to me is the coversystem without the requent jumping, the fast cover running, the reloadsystem that is more realistic then other FPS.
RFoM isn't showing me, judging from all the videos, anything that makes it diffrent from others. Yes nice graphic, big scenes and so on but the same run, shoot and reload gamepace. But on the other side, 40 player multiplayer is a very good thing.

And just because Resistance doesn't have a cool button to press to take shelter doesn't mean you don't have to take shelter from enemy fire. It's not just a mindless, Serious Sam kind of killing fest. It's perhaps faster-paced than GeOW, but that's not to say you can do whatever you like.
Gameplay doesn't look all that fun either, and there are a lot of annoyances.
I don't know, this game just doesn't cut it for me...
You can't just run & shoot in the retail version, as far as I've understood it right. Many gaming sites have said that the game is (in opposite to some demos) really hard and you'll end up dead if you don't find some shelter etc. Of course if there's just one or two enemies, you don't have to fear for your life, but when there's more, then you're screwed if you don't have something to stop the enemy bullets into. And this is just with the more normal enemies. There are other, harder enemies too.

Well as i said. I judge only from videos before the game is released and the vids from this game isn't giving me a wow but still that doesn't mean it isn't good. You have any links to vids showing of more "good"-things about the game? I want to believe you cause I'm dying for som good FPS right now, tierd of the same shit.
Ugh, this place is infested with trolls...
I you want something different in terms of FPS, you're gonna have to wait for Bioshock, but the wait will definitely be worth it..!
Forza > GT
You always seem to be recommending 360 titles over PS3 titles... curious...
Look sonny, if you're trying to "proof" a point here, atleast get your facts straight!
Also, I thought Bioshock is a PS3, Xbox360, PC title, could be wrong thought?
And in that bloody Motorstorm topic I've been extremely positive about Motorstorm, you know why? because I give credit where credit is due!
It's prove, not proof. And it's not my intention to prove anything, I was merely making an observation...
Bioshock is not coming to PS3.
I didn't mention MotorStorm...
And thanks for the lesson in grammar, though English isn't my native language, so there's my excuse.
What's your excuse for being so presumptious, narrowminded and completely clueless..?
Such violent protestations... well, I accept that you're not here only to bash PS3.
And, FYI, English isn't my first language either, but I've never used that as excuse to speak/write it improperly.
Violant though? Maybe not the most well chosen words here and there, but definitely not violant.
I'm just getting sick of having to explain myself evertime on these bloody sites, which from now on I won't anymore (yeah right!).
Lol, so you have mastered the English language perfectly and you're not even a native Englishman? Well....good for you..!
Well, I try not to get all worked up over people like yourself, but that "ugh" got me going and all the assumptions and unvalid statements along with it didn't help either.

I, however, am not... I'm an American (naturalized). LOL! So you could say I speak a kind of English...
The lighting makes everything look flat, the textures are incredibly poor looking even at medium range and I imagine the lack of rumble will make everything feel, well light...
I understand this is more of an arcade type first person shooter in a similar vain to Timesplitters, and in this sense the single player will remain exciting for an hour or so.
Most previews of the game seem to confirm that the multiplayer is more fun.
Yes it's a solid launch title, but I get the feeling if this appeared on the 360 now (against 2nd generation titles) it would get lambasted for being 'yet another generic shooter'...
Personally when I compare this to GRAW, RS:Vegas and GOW it comes up short.
