I tried the demo, for like 5 minutes.. meh..

Sonic’s 1 foot alone is larger than the princess.

And I’m totally going to buy and finish this game. Maybe not with all the characters but I will with Sonic for sure.

why is he saving a human princess? He's a fukkkin blue hedgehog. This game has almost the same gfx as Sonic Adventure...for Dreamcast.

Now this is what I expected from next-gen. Unfortunately, other games don't seem to follow the trend and 2007 will be a year of mediocrity.:(

this is one game that should never have gone 3d. It's unplayable.

I got the demo and deleted it after 5 minutes of wasting my time. It's just way too easy to jump off a cliff by missing a jump onto a rail, or missing a turn cause you are going to fast.

I still can't understand why Sonic's model looks so damn crisp while the enemies and background suffer with a much lower resolution and some jaggies. It almost looks doctored.

Besides how dissapointed I am in the graphics; I'll still buy this game cuz'... im still a sonic fan (that hopes someday Sega will stop making these #^*$&$@ games. There downfall happened after Sonic Adventure)

I played the demo and thought it was horrible.... at first.

But then I began seeing how easy it was to get to grips with it. Not only that, recently looking at the later builds of the game, it moves more like Sonic Adventure 2, which for me was where Sonic had the best animation and movement.

We were given an E3 demo, one of the earliest builds, one which people like you probably begged for, but companies don't like doing that, especially when it WILL NOT REPRESENT HOW THE FINAL GAME PLAYS!

I also have a friend who went to a recent event in Manchester to have a hands-on with the retail version of Sonic, ie. the one that WILL be shipping and not the E3 demo.

His words were:

"Guys forget you even played the demo, because this version plays more like the previous Sonic's before Heroes."

This game definitely has my vote.

Also, people really need to GET OVER the fact that he is now situated in the human world, his arch-nemesis is a bloody human! So it makes no sense to bitch about there being more humans about.

You guys want 2-D Sonic? Then stop posting your disdain for the 3-D ones and break out an emulator, or your old genesis/megadrive and be in your essence there.The demo looked very smooth at 60fps, so I don't think these stills are anything to really worry about.

Another thing, people should really stop judging games by their screenshots.

I loved the demo and it looked great in HD and all you guys sayin 3d sonics suck well your wrong wut about sonic adventure for DC great game and they mise as welll call this Sonic Adventure 2.

I don't get why the same people saying 3-D Sonic sucks are the same people that ask why it's not the same as Sonic Adventure 1 or 2???

Uh what? Their downfall happened because of the poor 1st/3rd party support and a PS2 that had no good games at launch

This is the first next gen Sonic game, cut them some slack, it's not always easy to adapt to a new system right away

The demo showed some potential, after you get used to the controls. Ill think about it. But its probably one of those games ill get when the price drops.

Somehow they've found a way to anti-alias the main character alone and not anything else. Like the shots with sonic and tails, they're super smooth and the background poly edges arent. Weird.

If there are Adventure fields like in original Sonic Adventure, I am very happy. There wasn't in Sonic Adventure 2 and it was not good. Just level after level and no real option to choose a character. Oh my, six different intertwining (seven if Golden Sonic is included) storylines in the original Sonic Adventure. I am so happy that I still have that game and the beloved Dreamcast.

Sonic Adventure 2 also lost one very important feature that was in the original Sonic Adventure. The ability to look around with directional pad. I hope that it is back in this new Sonic the Hedgehog. It wasn't in demo.
