Looks okay, though it sure is a jaggies fest, since this's from EA i bet my three nuts they'll screw it one way or another, but they do know how to milk a movie license to DEATH!

I wonder if we'll get to shake our wii-motes like magic wands on the screen.

Yes but it doesn't look like the new movie, as the characters are young like in the first film in this game.Well maybe as far as Harry Potter goes but by any other standard they look pretty poor.

the characters look good, but the environments look too bland..still early though, but i dont care anyways hahaha

I think the architecture is just bland. If you look closely, there's alot of detail in that blandness.

Between that and the bland-but-detailed charachters, there's a decent amount of effort put in there. It's really quite amazing looking for a spinoff of a spinoff, but I guess considering the financial clout Potheads (tee-hee, I love's that term - tho granted I haven't read the books or seen the movie everyone else in my family has and love 'em) have, I suppose it's somewhat justified. Then again, this IS EA, and its not like there's a competing Potter game coming from another compang or anything, they don't HAVE to do a good job.

I'm totally not into the story, but if the gameplay is different than the last game (which sucked badass) I'd want to try it. I also totally love the atmosphere inside of those schools.

Has anyone played any of the previous Harry Potter games and if so, does it just follow the story in the book/movie? If so, I would think that's a waste..

I hate to break it to you, but the "next generation" is now the current generation, and the Wii is part of the current generation.

The Order of the Phoenix is not out yet. Sometime in 2007. And I was curious about the older games based on the previous movies..

On the contrary, Sony continues to sell PS2, Microsoft continues to sell Xbox, so the PS3, XBOX360 and Wii are indeed next-gen.

ya but ps2 xbox and stuff is last gen now, current gen is xbox360 and ps3 and wii, cant call it next gen now that their all out, the ps2,ps1,xbox and stuff is just called "last gen" well to me :)

EA's philosophy works from a business stand point. Aquire or develope a franchise that is sure to be successful. Spend the least amount of money required to keep the interest of casual fans. Reap the benefit of having rabid fans. The less they spend on making a quality title, the more money they make. Don't expect a harry potter game to ever have good graphics because it will sell regardless.
