A japanese gamer had the chance to find Blue Dragon a few days before the official release date, and had the excellent idea to broadcast his discovery of the game via a peercast. I've of course captured it as soon as I heard about it, and I'll reencode some parts of it when I find something interesting. The spoiler videos will be marked as such.
As expected from a stream the quality is very average, and I've had a very very hard time finding a way to reencode it too. The pauses in the video are due to this process, the actual game is of course very smooth.
Update: Second video online.
Update2: Added another video, showing this time a rather nicer looking area. Warning, spoilers!
Update3: And yet another video, and it's party time at Maru-Maro's village! When Uematsu goes crazy, it's almost scary :)
Update4: Less fun than the last one, this new video should please the fans of jRPGs as it shows the overworld. The others will certainly behave much like the bear at the end of the video and maybe should keep out of the comments ;)

Page 1 2 ... 4 5 >>It could be the fact that i'm watching someone else play it, but it doesn't seem very exciting so far.
I don't think i have seen a game with so many hidden treasures either :S
The gameplay reminds me of FF7 quite a lot, the running around and what have you.
Back to the clip, fire vs ice enemies?
Who has fire elemtn in the team?
Isn't shu's dragon a water? if so he shoukd attack the fire right?
Water> fire while fire>ice, thus owning the ice enemy to the left.
I really like those videos. I can't see anything wrong here Jollipop, kinda reminds me of Tales of Symphonia. I also like how the monsters attack each other from the opposite elements, so it's brought stategy into the game as well. Nice :)
This game is like a mix of DQ8 (which i hated) and FF7 (which i loved) so not sure what i think of it to be honest.
As i said above watching someone else play isn't half as fun as playing it yourself, so hopefully i will enjoy it when i start to play it for myself.
Well I hope you Blue Dragon guys get what you are wanting. Great if you are.

To be honest, i REALLY dont like singing in a boss battle theme =/
I fear this is going to be a bit redundant after a while though. Especialy since it's a song.
Anyway, the fight theme is f***ing awesome !!!
Yea it's not the battles they are fine, but from what i've watched of the video feed of the guy playing, it seems like a lot of fighting, (something like DQ8, obviously without the random battles) and the story seems to be less compelling than i though it would be.

Joli this isn't even my type of game... but i have to say this. How the hell can you say the games story dose not look compelling from what you have seen, its over 40hrs long how can you tell from what you have seen that its not a compelling story??? sometimes you confuse the hell out of me, i thought you loved this game, maybe it was all a lie, and you setting it up so you could trash yet another 360 game.. sighhhh!!
Attempting to ascertain the quality of story from these videos is ridiculous.
follow the instructions here, i think the stream/server is down now though.
There was a really funny bit, where Muramora takes back some medicine to his village, as the whole village is sick, shortly after they get better they all start dancing to the butbut song..
Although the story (from what i have seen) is actually a lot more serious than i thought it would be :(
The game looks ok from what I've seen, but there's not much to tell from the videos posted. From what you are saying Jolli the story isn't that good?
So far I like the gameplay, I still can't wait to get my hands on this game.
